Thank you to a pair of leaders! The Foundation is grateful for the service of two gentlemen who recently retired from our Board of Directors.
Emeka Nnadi (photo 1) and Ab Freig (photo 2) both joined the Board in 2021 and served for four years each.
Emeka was Chair of the Fundraising Committee at the time of his retirement. Meanwhile, Ab recently shared his experience as a cardiac patient at St. B in a new story you can read on our website!
We wish Emeka and Ab both well, with our appreciation.

A warm Foundation welcome to Myrna Driedger, the newest member of our Board of Directors.
Myrna joined our Board last month. Many will recognize her as the former MLA (Roblin) and former Speaker of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly, between 1998 and 2023.

St. Boniface Hospital Foundation is proud to announce that we are one of 27 recipients across Canada to receive funding from the RBC Foundation Community Spaces Grant supporting projects aimed at improving accessibility. π
The $400,000 donation will support the renovation of the Observation Unit, part of Phase 3 of the Emergency Department redevelopment. One key feature of this project is a fully accessible washroom with a shower allowing all patients, no matter their abilities to safely use the facilities. βΏ
As St. Boniface Hospital Foundation President and CEO Karen Fowler explains: βThis generous donation from the RBC Foundation Community Spaces Grant will help enhance the Hospitalβs Emergency Department, enabling it to deliver compassionate, critical care in a more accessible environment.β π₯
We would like to thank the RBC Foundation, whose compassionate support will significantly improve accessibility for patients in St. Boniface Hospital's Emergency Department. π
