This weekend is a time of reflection and gratitude….. in 2012 Geoff and I embarked on the adventure of a lifetime…… we took a leap of faith and signed our names on the purchase of Brathwaite’s Pharmacy.
Brathwaite’s Pharmacy has been an institution in Winnipeg since 1903 and a permanent fixture in the St James community since the late 1950’s. I am forever grateful for wandering into the Canada Summer Student Employment office in 1985 and seeing the job posting for a summer student. It started a chain of events, that even in my wildest imagination, I could not have imagined.
My mentor, the dear Earl McCallum took a huge chance on me and gently (and firmly) formed me into the person I am today. I met my husband there, met my sister from another mother there and have formed so many meaningful and beautiful friendships. Geoff and I have the pleasure and honour to continue the tradition that is Brathwaite’s Pharmacy. We are forever grateful for this opportunity.
We are thankful to our wonderful team: Karen, Heather, Brenda, Andrea, Jesse, Sherri ….. without you, we are nothing!
