On Friday we celebrated a very special milestone…Mabel’s final chemotherapy treatment! 🎊🐾

9 months ago Mabel was having trouble walking and was depressed. Mabel’s family was almost needing to go out of province for her oncology care. Instead, through social media, her family found our team!

Here’s what the family said:

“I found a recommendation for Dr. Worb at Anderson Animal Hospital and immediately scheduled a consultation. We met, and him and his team were the most compassionate folks we had come across during this whole ordeal.

Instead of making us drive to Saskatoon, or Calgary, or North Dakota and spending thousands on just a consultation with an oncologist, he called the oncologists he personally knows, presented them with every bit of info he could, and they came back with a chemo treatment plan for us while also keeping her front leg intact.

Fast forward almost 9 months… it’s like night and day. In August, she could barely walk, she was depressed and extremely frustrated; now, she’s displaying almost none of her initial symptoms. She’s walking with no limp, able to put weight on her front leg, and back to begging for/playing with our dirty socks.

We can’t thank Dr. Worb and his entire team at Anderson enough… At most? Hey, she’s still here with us, and that’s more than we could have asked for. Her response to the treatment has surprised everyone.”
