A New Chapter After 18 Years of Dedication

I am a physician from São Paulo, Brazil, with a deep-rooted passion for integrative medicine. After completing my Family Practice program, I pursued a residency in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). My strong foundation in Psychosomatic Medicine, which I dedicated four years to studying and practicing since medical school, naturally led me to explore TC

M. I was drawn to its holistic approach, which aligns with my belief in understanding the underlying causes of diseases rather than merely treating symptoms. I undertook a five-year residency in TCM at the University of São Paulo, School of Medicine. During this time, I worked in the Pain Clinic and Orthopedic Department as a volunteer teacher, where I received specialized training as a pain specialist. Later, I had the opportunity to collaborate with fertility clinics, integrating acupuncture into treatment protocols. This experience deepened my expertise, and I became a recognized Fertility Specialist. Throughout my career, I have been an advocate for the advancement of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Canada. I served on the Board of Directors for the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC) for several years, representing TCM practitioners nationwide. Additionally, I dedicated 15 years to our provincial chapter, ensuring the growth and recognition of our profession. Established in 1987, CMAAC is a member society of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), the only international acupuncture organization recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). After 16 years of practice at Manitoba Clinic and two years at 1112 Notre Dame Ave. inside the ACM building, I have made the decision to step out on my own. This transition allows me to fully embrace my leadership skills and establish something truly meaningful—a holistic, integrative wellness center where professionals from various disciplines collaborate seamlessly to enhance patient care. For more than 18 years at Prairie Acupuncture Clinic, I have been privileged to provide over 27,000 treatments and assist in bringing 962 babies into the world for parents who once struggled with infertility. Now, it is time to expand this impact by creating a true integrative wellness center where healthcare professionals work together under one roof. With this transition, Prairie Acupuncture Clinic will no longer operate under its previous name. My sole proprietorship is being acquired by the newly incorporated Priscilla Kerr Wellness, Ltd., and we have all the necessary legal documents to move forward. Our New Location in Whyte Ridge, WE ARE OPEN!! 01-APRIL-2025!! Our new clinic is located in Whyte Ridge, a beautiful residential area in the Waverley West ward. The location is surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, dental and physician offices, making it a convenient and accessible hub for our patients. In our new 1,600 sq. space, we will offer:
✔️ Five private treatment rooms✔️ A shared space for physiotherapy, athletic therapy, workshops, yoga, and meditation classes✔️ A tea & relaxation area for patients to unwind before and after their appointments

Birthday Weekend Update 🎉☀️

It’s been a lovely birthday weekend so far. This morning I had the honor of receiving an Aliyah to the Torah for my birthday, which made the day feel very special. Afterwards, Jimmy had some extra classes, and the boys spent some time trading Pokémon cards with friends.

The weather has been incredibly hot, so we decided to enjoy as much time outdoors as possible. I watched the kids play while I got some cardio in and managed to burn a few calories myself. Now we’re getting ready to enjoy some hamburgers outside and make the most of this beautiful summer-like weather.

After such a long winter and a strange spring, it feels wonderful to finally relax, spend time with family, and enjoy the simple things. So far, it’s been a very good weekend, and I’m feeling grateful for another year of life, health, family, and friendship. ❤️☀️🎂

Big thank you tonight to Daniel — Kevin’s best friend — for saving the memories of this concert ❤️ daniel_tch123

I was recording Kevin’s performance for YouTube and right in the middle of the live recording… it stopped. Then the audio on the live was horrible — you could barely hear the instruments, mostly just people talking 😩

Then on Instagram, I did another live video and the entire video completely disappeared and never even showed up in the history. Honestly very frustrating and disappointing. Not very reliable tonight at all.

Thankfully Daniel recorded Kevin’s entire performance for us 🙏✨
So here it is because Kevin did AMAZING tonight and this proud mama did not want to lose this special moment. ❤️

Tonight we are here for Kevin’s jazz concert at his school 🎷✨
This is honestly my favorite concert of the year every single time — it’s always so incredibly well organized, full of talent, energy, and passion for music. I absolutely love it.

Kevin will be performing next and we are so excited and proud watching him grow through music year after year. ❤️🎶 his best friend daniel_tch123

Years ago, we came to this same garden centre and planted a special apple tree for my dad. It was one of those beautiful grafted trees with five different types of apples growing on the same tree. We loved it so much.

Unfortunately, the rabbits here in Winnipeg decided they loved it too 😅 and ended up eating all the grafted branches. The tree never truly recovered after that trauma. Over the years it grew very slowly, struggled, and eventually became just a mystery tree — we no longer even knew what kind of apples it was producing anymore.

At the same time, the last apple tree we had planted in memory of my grandfather also died.

So today felt emotional.

We decided it was finally time to plant a new tree — a strong prairie-hardy apple tree to honour my dad’s memory and continue the story forward 🌸

After looking through so many beautiful varieties, we chose the Odyssey Apple.

Why Odyssey?

Because it represents:• beauty• sweetness• resilience• life continuing after loss

And honestly… the name itself feels symbolic:a life journey, memories, and continuing forward with love.

The blossoms are beautiful, the apples are delicious, and the tree is hardy enough to survive our Manitoba winters.

Hopefully this one will grow with our family for many years to come ❤️🍎

Taking a quiet day to rest and recharge today after some last For the first time since last fall, I’m enjoying the peace of my garden, watching the bumblebees pollinating our Saskatoon berries, blueberries, and other blossoms. Nature is the best way for me to decompress and manage stress. It’s also Shavuot today, the day of the giving of the Torah for the Jewish people. To celebrate, I’ve ordered a lovely ice cream cake—can’t wait to enjoy it when the boys get back home. It’s going to be a quiet weekend focused on rest and healing. Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend!
