A New Chapter After 18 Years of Dedication

I am a physician from São Paulo, Brazil, with a deep-rooted passion for integrative medicine. After completing my Family Practice program, I pursued a residency in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). My strong foundation in Psychosomatic Medicine, which I dedicated four years to studying and practicing since medical school, naturally led me to explore TCM. I was drawn to its holistic approach, which aligns with my belief in understanding the underlying causes of diseases rather than merely treating symptoms. I undertook a five-year residency in TCM at the University of São Paulo, School of Medicine. During this time, I worked in the Pain Clinic and Orthopedic Department as a volunteer teacher, where I received specialized training as a pain specialist. Later, I had the opportunity to collaborate with fertility clinics, integrating acupuncture into treatment protocols. This experience deepened my expertise, and I became a recognized Fertility Specialist. Throughout my career, I have been an advocate for the advancement of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Canada. I served on the Board of Directors for the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC) for several years, representing TCM practitioners nationwide. Additionally, I dedicated 15 years to our provincial chapter, ensuring the growth and recognition of our profession. Established in 1987, CMAAC is a member society of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), the only international acupuncture organization recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). After 16 years of practice at Manitoba Clinic and two years at 1112 Notre Dame Ave. inside the ACM building, I have made the decision to step out on my own. This transition allows me to fully embrace my leadership skills and establish something truly meaningful—a holistic, integrative wellness center where professionals from various disciplines collaborate seamlessly to enhance patient care. For more than 18 years at Prairie Acupuncture Clinic, I have been privileged to provide over 27,000 treatments and assist in bringing 962 babies into the world for parents who once struggled with infertility. Now, it is time to expand this impact by creating a true integrative wellness center where healthcare professionals work together under one roof. With this transition, Prairie Acupuncture Clinic will no longer operate under its previous name. My sole proprietorship is being acquired by the newly incorporated Priscilla Kerr Wellness, Ltd., and we have all the necessary legal documents to move forward. Our New Location in Whyte Ridge, WE ARE OPEN!! 01-APRIL-2025!! Our new clinic is located in Whyte Ridge, a beautiful residential area in the Waverley West ward. The location is surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, dental and physician offices, making it a convenient and accessible hub for our patients. In our new 1,600 sq. space, we will offer:

✨ Baby’s coming… and this one is extra special ✨

For a little over a year, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside this beautiful couple on their fertility journey.

They had been trying to conceive for five years.
Five years of hope.
Five years of waiting.
Five years of strength.

There were many ups and downs along the way… but they never gave up. They stayed consistent with acupuncture week after week, honoring the process, trusting the work, and showing up with courage every single time.

After continuing treatment and moving forward with an IUI procedure…
✨ She became pregnant on the very first try. ✨

Today she is 36 weeks pregnant, and we are counting down the days. They don’t know the baby’s s*x — it will be a beautiful surprise 💛

I had the pleasure of treating both of them, and I can say with certainty: this baby is coming into a home filled with love, resilience, and gratitude. They worked so hard for this moment.

It was my honor to prepare a little gift for them — a small way to say thank you for their loyalty, their patience, and for trusting me with such a sacred chapter of their lives.

I cannot wait to meet this miracle in person.

Dear patients,

I sincerely apologize, but unfortunately I will need to cancel my entire clinic day tomorrow.

Last night I had a serious reaction to an antibiotic that I was prescribed for a confirmed urinary tract infection — a medication I had never taken before. It is now 3:00 a.m., I’m unable to sleep, and I need to see my physician to reassess treatment, as I’m dealing with both the infection and the medication reaction.

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience. My assistant will contact all the patients tomorrow. She’ll be at the office around 10 AM.

We ended Hanukkah yesterday at sunset 🕯️, and today is my last working day before the holidays. I’ll be back in the clinic next Monday.

Currently, the City is focusing plowing on Priority 1 streets (ie: Pembina, Kenaston, Abinojii, etc) AND plowing streets that are ‘impassable’.

• If your street is ‘impassable’ please contact 311 and city will send out a plow. We know many areas / streets in the Waverley West ward blow in. Contact 311 if they are impassable.

Tonight, City will be plowing Priority 1 & Priority 2 streets to open for emergency vehicles.
Tomorrow, more snow and wind is expected and City will continue plowing Priority 1 & Priority 2 streets .

Dear patients,
Winter driving has officially begun, and today the road conditions caused several late arrivals. I was only able to accommodate everyone because the third treatment room happened to be free — but this is not something I can guarantee every day, as our practitioners also rely on that space.

👉 Please plan extra time to drive to your appointment during snow or icy weather.
Arriving late affects the entire schedule, and unfortunately I cannot see patients if they are not checked in on time.

Today, due to multiple delays throughout the afternoon, I ended up leaving the clinic 45 minutes later than I was supposed to. These cascading delays make it very difficult for us to run the day smoothly.

Your help and cooperation during winter conditions are truly appreciated.

✨ A New Chapter for Kevin ✨

Today was Kevin’s last performance as the saxophone musician at the Family Shabbat Service. After years of dedication, commitment, and beautiful music, he’s ready for a new chapter — to play upstairs in the main services where so many people have been asking for him.

Every time we come to the synagogue, someone asks me, “Why isn’t Kevin performing upstairs? We don’t want to miss his music!”
It fills my heart with gratitude to know how much his talent is appreciated.

Kevin will continue to volunteer during the High Holidays for the family service — because giving back has always been part of his journey — but he is now excited to grow, learn, and perform in the main sanctuary.

I’m also happy to see more families downstairs today. Unfortunately, no other musicians were able to come, but the singers did a wonderful job and kept the service uplifting. 💛

So proud of you, Kevin — for your hard work, your musicianship, and your heart. Here’s to the next stage of your musical path. 🎷✨

✨ Welcome to the world, beautiful baby boy! ✨

Yesterday, this sweet little one made his arrival by C-section due to a breech position — healthy, strong, and absolutely perfect. 💙

This is the second baby of this wonderful mama who once struggled with infertility. I had the honour of treating her through both journeys — from fertility support to closely following each week of pregnancy. I last saw her just days ago, and I am so grateful everything went smoothly.

This innovative procedure prevents the transmission of rare, life-threatening mitochondrial diseases by combining DNA from three people — the mother, father, and a female donor.

• The baby receives nuclear DNA (99.9%) from the parents.
• A tiny fraction (0.1%) of mitochondrial DNA comes from the donor’s egg.
• This ensures healthy mitochondria and prevents inherited disease.

Background as a MD, pain specialist ,Fertility specialist, Dr KERR opened her Business at Manitoba Clinic in April , 2007 after she got her credentials from CMAAC. She is one of the few Doctors in town that 30% of her referrals come from physicians from inside MB Clinic and all over Manitoba and others provinces. She expanded her business to the New Building of Manitoba Clinic increasing the amount patients she can see daily. She has more rooms and all upgraded rooms with a Spa relaxing feeling, music and friendly environment for Handicap. She is on 7.floor and she has an office assistant that will happily help you scheduling your sessions, giving information you need and collecting your payment. An interesting Fact: on October 31/2018 she accomplished 14,000 treatments.
