Healthy Baby Community Support Programs – Winnipeg

Healthy Baby programs provide free, community-based support for people who are pregnant or have a baby under the age of one.

These programs offer:
• Support during pregnancy and after your baby is born
• Parenting tips and information on baby development
• Breastfeeding and nutrition support
• Activities to support bonding with your baby
• Connection with other parents and health care professionals
• Milk coupons, bus tickets, and childminding (where available)
• Partners and support persons are welcome

Programs are available in communities across Winnipeg.

On December 16, community members came together for a Visioning through Art consultation led by Artbeat Studio.
Participants responded to the prompt “What kind of community do you want to create here?” by tracing their hands on a shared canvas and writing their visions. One message that stood out:
“A soft and safe place for all to land and grow.”

West Central Women’s Resource Centre (WCWRC) will be running Healing Together, a 10-week closed-group program for immigrant women and immigrant gender-diverse people who are survivors of gender-based violence, including domestic violence and/or extended family abuse.

This program offers a safe, supportive space where participants can share experiences, recognize their strengths, and work together to build a path toward healing.

HIV Awareness: The HIV is HERE Campaign Webinar
Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM CST

In this presentation we will describe the development and implementation of HIV is HERE, an HIV awareness campaign for Winnipeg. This campaign was developed in partnership between Nine Circles Community Health Centre and Healthy Sexuality and Harm Reduction, and supported by several community organizations involved in harm reduction supply distribution. We will share the HIV-related knowledge gathered from community members with lived experience using drugs, which set the content and tone of the campaign. We will also describe campaign promotion efforts, outcomes to date, and ongoing communication efforts in the context of the current HIV outbreak.
