G is for Glasses is a locally owned and family operated optical shop in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We do eye exams, fit contact lenses, and make glasses.

G is for Glasses is a locally owned and family operated optical shop in Winnipeg, established in 2014 by Bonni O'Hara and Jessie Fillmore. G is for Glasses houses full time optometrists, Dr. Jessie Fillmore and Dr. Jocelyn Radawiec. Frame brands include Jacques Marie Mage, MOSCOT, Andy Wolf, SALT. optics, Barton Perreira, Garrett Leight, Valley Eyewear, MYKITA, Ahlem, Mr. Leight, Kaleos Eyehunters, and 141 Eyewear. We also direct bill to most insurance comapnies!

It’s official, this frame is BonBon’s favourite shade of the summer! The “Manon” in Tortoise provided her with such features as: great on sunny days, great on cloudy days, great all day beach comfort, great under a hat, great on a golf course, great at the Beer Can, and the biggest bonus of them all is minimum one compliment per outing!

It’s Dr. Fillmore! And we have terrific news for everyone who has ever said “if you ever get the glasses that Jessie is wearing back in stock, I WANT THEM!”
… we got them! The frame is called Ava from , and we have the frame in the shop in Noir (like dr. Fill’s), Samoa (dark tortoise), and a rich dark red called Cherry.

G turns 11! We celebrated with lovely customers choosing great frames, Jill’s signature Key Lime Pie, friends and family and pets, helium balloons and popping bubbles. We couldn’t do it without our amazing team (missing you today Ken ❤️) and our lovely community. There are so many exciting things in the works this year, let’s keep the party going!!!

All LAPIMA frames are designed and manufactured in São Paulo, Brazil by a small team within their in-house atelier.
