The Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre

The Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre The Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre is a 200-bed facility in south Winnipeg.

Thanks to fundraising efforts we are able to offer our residents enriching life experiences that keep them engaged, active, and happy. Now in its one hundredth year, the Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre, has a long tradition of care. From modest beginnings as the Winnipeg Old Folks Jewish Home to today’s 200 bed state-of-the-art facility, we continue to provide a comfortable home for our elderly. Fundraising is essential to us because it provides our residents with services that would not otherwise be available to them and supports quality of life here at the Simkin Centre. It means that our residents have access to therapeutic recreation, spiritual care, and rehabilitation services; ensuring a fuller and richer life regardless of barriers to health.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Honourable Tracy Schmidt, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning, the Honourable Mike Moroz, Minister of Innovation and New Technology, and Tyler Blashko, MLA for Lagimodière, to the Simkin Centre.

We had a meaningful discussion about our upcoming childcare project, continuing our commitment to care across all generations.

Thank you to our guests for visiting, learning more about what we do, and engaging in such an important conversation. We look forward to what’s ahead!
