Shelley Elhatton, RN & Block Therapy Instructor Discover our life changing body work practice that helps release pain, excess weight, reverse premat Now, Shelley is controlling her pain.

Shelley is a Holistic nurse Practioner and a Certified Block Therapist and Instructor. She has studied and practices many healing modalities throughout her life

Before Fluid Isometrics, Shelley's pain was controlling her life. Shelley has been a Registered Nurse for 30 plus years, with extensive experience in community, hospital, and international settings. Shelley understood long ago there was much more to the body than the diagnosis, and that this so called diagnosis was simply dis-ease within the body. This led her to her studies in holistic care and many different healing modalities. After a car accident many years ago she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and began experiencing many back issues. A recent abdominal surgery left her in chronic pain in her pelvis and right side of her body. She experienced difficulty walking and eventually, was unable to lift her right arm. She was unable to return to work. Shelley struggled for a diagnosis and treatment resulting in depression and much frustration with the health care system. She knew she needed to quiet her mind and access the innate wisdom that she knew was inside to help her heal her body. After trying many different body work practices, the missing piece and game changer for Shelley was Fluid Isometrics Block Therapy classes. She quickly found relief from chronic pain and after the first class had better range of motion in her arm and felt much less restriction in her pelvis. Block therapy quickly ignited a passion within and she knew she needed to learn all she could to heal herself. . Attending Block Therapy classes became priority, and she quickly knew she must take the Teacher Training. "There are so many things I love about Block Therapy! As a nurse, I can see and understand how at a cellular level your body can become healthier. The cedar block better known as the Block Buddy, has truly become my lifeline back to health and I know without a doubt it can help you also with any health challenge you may be having." Shelley is excited to share in her own journey, teach, support and empower others to become their own health advocates. "It is our birth right to be all we were born to be. Our journey and our life lessons have much to teach us, we only need to go within and listen.”

INTRODUCING FLUID ISOMETRICS

Fluid Isometrics is a body work practice that utilizes either the practitioner’s hands or a therapeutic tool made of cedar called the Block Buddy to bring heat into an area and melt frozen fascia, releasing it from the area and thereby promoting increased blood and oxygen flow—both of which are critical to health and healing. Over time, our fascia compresses layer over layer. If we allow this compression to develop, eventually fat can build up, disease settles in, and aches and pains become chronic. Block Therapy is a way to personally harness the power of Fluid Isometrics. See the promotional video here: http://youtu.be/OllEKbQIeg0

ABOUT BLOCK THERAPY

Block Therapy is a self-care version of Fluid Isometrics. The individual lies on a therapeutic tool made of cedar called the Block Buddy for a minimum of 3 minutes in various positions throughout the body. Wood is used as the therapeutic tool because, unlike artificial materials like foam or plastic, it shares similar density to bone. With gravity and body weight, the Block Buddy is able to sink deeply into the tissue, all the way to the bone. This pressure brings increased blood and oxygen into the area, thereby warming the connective tissue and “melting” the powerful seal between layers that creates unhealthy restrictions. The student is taught to use diaphragmatic breathing to bring into the body up to 600% more oxygen. This combination of increased oxygen, proper posture and alignment, and the freeing of adhesions form the basis of the Fluid Isometrics system. The end result for you is better overall health and wellness. See a sample class here: http://youtu.be/6RErSHn7bQE

The Power of the Pits (Arm Pits, of course)

When you think of the arm pits, I am guessing the word "power" doesn't come to mind.

the armpits ... when you look closely at the muscles and fascia that make up the pits, it is remarkable how they impact strength, stability and mobility.

Especially when there is careful and compassionate attention to the unwinding and releasing.

I've been pleasantly surprised at how I could help unwind this area sooooo easily and effectively.

Not only did my client's pain and strain at the neck, shoulder and jaw reduce, so did the pain and strain of their

- psoas
- quadratus lumborum
- si joints
- piriformis
- feet

It's pretty cool. You can imagine the changes in symptoms and better function.

But not only that.

As a result of integrating what happens with the pits with the rest of the body, I've seen significant positive changes with

- carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist and elbow issues
- headaches
- jaw issues
- back issues
- rotator cuff issues
- hip issues
- and even the knees

I have also seen my clients gain:

- better breathing
- quieter mind
- more effortless running, walking, hiking, tennis, pickleball
- stronger deadlifts, shoulder and pec press, chinups
- more ease picking up the kids
-easier to carry groceries
- better sleeps
