Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: References. This workshop provides pointers on how to choose effective references, protocol for approaching and communicating with them, how and when to provide them to employers, and more.

This afternoon at 1:30pm is Coffee Club, our weekly peer support and social skill-building workshop. Today is participant choice of games, puzzles, and activities that we have on hand and we will decide together what we want to do at workshop start.

Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: A Mindful Minute where we'll learn about quick and accessible ways to incorporate practicing mindfulness for a few minutes here and there throughout your days. This approach builds strong and positive associations with mindfulness and meditation, ensuring it is there for us in a helpful way when we need this wellness tool in moments of upset, duress, and/or dysregulation.

Next up at 1:30pm, we have Email Tools, Apps and Etiquette with tips for getting the most out of email communication. Following these pointers and using the tools available helps job seekers level up their communication game so that as they network, they don't miss opportunities and are displaying transferable skills that employers are looking for.

Tuesdays at 10:00am, we have Mindful Movement with Caryn leading participants through a routine of gentle yet effective stretching, breath work, meditation and mindfulness. This approach regulates the nervous system, while exercising the body and soothing the person.

This morning at 10:00am, is Top 10: Finding a New Job, with our best recommendations for securing employment in the industry of interest.

This afternoon at 1:30pm, we have Coffee Club, and we will be playing Valentine's Trivia. Our PowerPoint Trivia game is custom made for steps2work participants to include everyone, with a wide variety of questions varying in difficulty from easy to more challenging.

Today at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Tracking Successes where we'll take a look at why folding this habit into your routine is so effective, along with ways to do it. The handouts for this workshop include a Success Tracker Sheet.

This afternoon at 1:30pm, we have Top 10: Reasons to Stay Positive, where we'll take a look at the benefits and advantages of maintaining a brighter outlook on self and life. This also tends to be a more balanced, and often more realistic, perspective.

Good morning,

This morning at 10:00am, we have our Personal Hygiene in the Workplace workshop. We will go over the reasons why this is such an important part of employment skills, now more than ever! Proper personal hygiene accomplishes many things: from helping to prevent the spread of illness and infections, to encouraging habits that create and maintain clean and healthy spaces.

This afternoon at 1:30pm, we have Top 10: Tips for Improving Small Talk, where we will discuss getting out of your comfort zone and how having casual conversations are more meaningful than you might think. Small talk also helps you to get to know others in a casual and non-intimidating way.

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Time Management, where we’ll take a look at ways to use time to our best advantage. Building helpful habits and scheduling our days mindfully empowers us to grow, fulfill our responsibilities, and reach our goals.

Next up at 1:30pm we have Self-Marketing where we'll take a look at how to use marketing tools and practices to enhance job search. Using common marketing and sales techniques for job search is a proven, effective approach to job search and career development.
