steps assists people with disabilities, primarily those living with a psychiatric disability as well as those with other disabilities who have a mental health issue to secure and maintain employment by providing a range of employment related services. Our Values

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Re-Entering the Workforce, where we'll take a look at how to address some of the most common challenges of returning to job search after a hiatus from the workforce. This one is all about being proactive, proper preparation, and developing/using assertiveness skills!

First up today at 10:00am is Top 10: Professional Meeting Etiquette where we will explore how to best establish and maintain our professional reputation with proper conduct during meetings.

This afternoon at 1:30pm is Coffee Club, our weekly peer support and social skill-building workshop. Today is participant choice of games, puzzles, and activities that we have on hand and we will decide together what we want to do at workshop start.

This morning at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Achieving Your Goals where we'll explore ways to make it exponentially more likely to achieve goals that we've set. These techniques support us to take effective action and build skills in order to grow and achieve success.

This afternoon we have Interview Skills Part 2, the follow up to Interview Skills Part 1. This workshop has tips for boosting confidence, assertively taking control of interviews, answering behavioral questions, and more.

Tuesdays at 10:00am, we have Mindful Movement with Caryn leading participants through a routine of gentle yet effective stretching, breath work, meditation and mindfulness. This approach regulates the nervous system, while exercising the body and soothing the person.

Good morning,

Today at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Staying Motivated at Work. The good news is, for those job seekers that targeted their job search towards work that is a good fit; some motivation will be built into their job. This is because seeking employment that is aligned with personal values, interests, and aptitudes makes work more sustainable and enjoyable.

Next up at 1:30pm, we have Stress Management where we’ll take a look at types and causes of stress, then review 8 Tips for increasing calm and happiness, as well as some 2 Minute Stress Busters.

We will explore the difference between business casual and business formal wear, mistakes to avoid, and tips for building a work wardrobe that gets noticed for the right reasons.

Today at 10:00am, we have Top 10: Balancing Work & Life, where we’ll take a look at boundaries and habits to develop that effectively manage responsibilities and leisure time. This balance is essential to personal health and wellness, growth and productivity: both in and out of the workplace.

Next up at 1:30pm this afternoon we have Interview Skills Part 1, where we'll explore the habits to establish and the skills to develop that create an effective job search. The good news is that developing theses habits and skills benefits the job seeker by establishing life skills that serve them in both their professional and personal lives.
