🥶 What Is Cold Stress? 🥶

Cold stress happens when your body can’t maintain its normal temperature. It can lead to hypothermia, frostbite, and serious injury. Understanding how cold affects the body is the first step in staying safe during winter work.

Recent heavy rains are a reminder that severe weather can strike quickly, putting farm operations and workers at risk.

Employers should have an emergency plan in place and make sure everyone on the farm is trained on what to do if a storm approaches.
