Back to school Somatics

4 years ago I studied 'Repairing The Vagus Nerve' with
& wove what I learned into my 1:1 Somatic & Breathwork practice.

I'm pumped to now be taking Jessica's Practitioner Certification over next 12 weeks.
~☆Learning the latest in neurobiology of trauma from a leading expert.
☆ Sharpening my tracking & skills for supporting client dysregulation
☆Connecting with a cohort of international professionals
☆ Improving clients' long term, measurable recovery outcomes.
☆ Weaving capnography & breathing as behaviour into this work (that'll e me on the side saying, 'but what about....?'

The training I take is a huge investment in my skills & client wellness. Because I love what I do & love learning. We start tomorrow.

Self-care in garden harvest season...

Clients ask me how I keep myself well as a Somatic Practitioner holding space for peoples' big stuff.

For me, it's my weekends in the country...

~ BODY MOVING & Hands in the dirt.
~ Reminding myself to PACE myself & KEEP REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS when there's an overwhelming amount to do.
~ Time with TRUSTED FRIENDS who've got my back . They SHARE in the work
~ PLAY & ENJOYMENT between projects
~ SAVORING morning & evening LIGHT.
~ open windows at night, APPRECIATING the cool breeze
~ Practicing ALLOWING QUIET to just be quiet.
~ The spontaneous gratitude that arises in SLOW TIME time (psst it eludes me when I've got my foot too heavy on the gas)
