Michaela Kaplan is an Art and Expressive Arts Therapist who specializes in working with neurodivergent children and adults.

Michaela Kaplan holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts (Honours) and masters level dual diploma in Art and Expressive Arts Therapy. Her years of experience as an arts instructor in Winnipeg and Australia strongly informs her work as a therapist. Michaela works from a person-centred approach and is interested in supporting individuals of any age to obtain authentic embodiment in life, work, and school. She is a neurodivergent practitioner who specializes in working with neurodivergent clients. Michaela brings together lived experience and expertise in art and expressive arts therapy, to create a fulfilling and validating therapeutic relationship.

Join us along with MK Art Therapy for this wonderful social prescribing initiative....

Bodymind Integration: connecting through therapeutic art making, movement, and breath work.

In this workshop we bring together art making, movement through the MELT method, and breath work to create a peaceful space for participants to engage in therapeutic introspection. We will be following a path beginning with meditation followed by art making, mindful movement, more art making and meditation, concluding with group reflection. Our aim is to guide participants towards a better understanding of how thoughts and emotions are held in the body, how the body and mind are integrally connected, and how to attend to those feelings through mindful movement and reflective creation.
