Although the Public Health Orders restrictions have been reduced, due to the lengthy time I spend in close contact with my patients, all current Covid policies will remain in place in the the clinic. This includes continuing to wear masks.

My patients' diligence in following the Public Health Orders has been outstanding and I'm grateful. Thank you for helping minimize the transmission in the clinic, helping keep my business open and making it possible for me to continue to serve my patients' health care needs.

Good Morning!
The province has added Registered Massage Therapist to the Manitoba Health Order as an essential professional health care service. This allows massage therapists to continue practicing during code red restrictions. I have decided to continue to practice during Manitoba's code red for now but I will be monitoring the situation and will reassess as needed. I will continue to post updates on this page.

In order to continue practicing during Manitoba's code red, restrictions and protocols set out by the government and massage therapy associations must be followed. This means before booking and attending massage appointments all patients are required to use the self screening tool: http://sharedhealthmb.ca-tool/ , masks are mandatory, temperatures will be taken upon arrival, patients will be asked to sanitize their hands and screening questions will be asked again.

If in the future you have massage appointments affected because I've decided to temporarily close my practice due to code red, you will be contacted. If you have any questions, please call the office at 204-831-8326. Stay safe and Healthy.

If there isn't a big increase of Covid-19 cases in Manitoba I will be returning to work June 1st. Everyone who has a massage appointment booked in the first two weeks of June will be contacted. Hope to see you all soon!

Unlike Saskatchewan, Manitoba has chosen to include massage therapy and acupuncture — two unregulated services — in its first round of reopenings. But without a regulatory body, massage therapists say they're left with many questions about how to safely begin operating again.

05/02/2020

On April 29th the Government of Manitoba announced that Massage Therapists were approved to return gradually to work starting May 4th.

As much as I would love to see you all, I do not want to put anyone at risk by rushing back to work.
Before I return to the office there are a lot of regulations, procedures and supplies (that are not readily available) that are required. I will not be ready to start on May 4th. I don't know exactly when I will be returning to work, that depends on when my supplies arrive and if there is a spike in Covid-19 cases. I will post another update no later then May 19th. I'm in the process of contacting everyone who has an appointment affected by this decision.

Take care and stay healthy

If everyone could get a massage twice a week, the world would be a better place. Even if you can't pop in for a massage as often as you'd like, there are things you can do to keep yourself feeling good in between appointments. It's called "self-care," and adding just a couple techniques to

Lisa Lambert Massage Therapy

I was drawn to massage therapy after working twelve years in the healthcare field. I graduated from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy in 2007 and am in good standing with the Massage Association of Manitoba (MTAM).

I love being a massage therapist. I listen to my patients and work hard to address the unique challenges and preferences of each individual patient. The use of assessment, treatment and a variety of massage techniques allows me to customize each massage to target specific imbalances of joints, ligaments and muscles that are the main cause of pain.

The ability to help and educate my patients is extremely important to me therefore I’m constantly upgrading my education. Massage techniques I use include but are not limited to: prenatal (pregnancy) massage, deep tissue massage, craniosacral therapy, joint mobilization, soft tissue release, Swedish massage, cupping, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and advanced trigger point therapy. My skill sets allow me to treat patients of all ages with various issues ranging from common aches and pains to specific injuries.

Continuing education in the area of massage therapy plays a big part in my free time. Therefore, I was a recipient of the Heather Whittaker Memorial Award for demonstrating outstanding commitment to ongoing learning and professional development for 2013-2015 and 2015-2017 credit years.
