Medical Office assistant/receptionist Job(Full time):

Atlantic Medical Centre is currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and highly-motivated person to join our practice as a medical office assistant/receptionist.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Answering telephones, greeting patients, and updating patient medical records
-Filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, and arranging for laboratory services
-Clinical duties such as performing EKG, spirometry, and simple in office lab like pregnancy test or dip stick test. Taking patient’s heights and weights, preparing patients for examination and assisting physicians during examinations as needed
-Maintaining strict confidentiality according to the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA)
-Working with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and service

Applicant Requirements:

-Certificate of Medical Administrative Assistant/Clinical Office Assistant or equivalent preferred
-Knowledge of computer systems and applications, particularly Accuro EMR and MS-Office, Windows etc.
-Strong organizational and time-management skills
-Able to work in a fast paced environment
-Verbal and written communication skills
