Fun Fact: Muscles don’t actually “knot up”—but they do form tight bands called myofascial trigger points that can cause pain and limit movement.

Massage therapy helps release these points by improving blood flow, reducing tension, and encouraging the muscle to let go.

So when you say, “I’ve got knots in my shoulders!”—you’re not wrong, but now you know what’s really going on!

Got a stubborn spot that won’t quit? We’re here to help work it out—literally.

Don’t Skip the Glutes!

Your gluteal muscles (gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus) are some of the strongest and most important muscles in your body—yet they’re often overlooked during massage sessions.

Why are your glutes such a big deal?

🔹 They stabilize your hips and pelvis, which affects everything from posture to walking.
🔹 They support your lower back—tight or weak glutes can actually cause back pain.
🔹 They power your movements—like standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and more.
🔹 They can hold a LOT of tension, especially if you sit for long periods or are active in sports.

Releasing tension in the glutes can:
*Relieve lower back and hip pain
* Improve range of motion
*Help correct imbalances in posture or movement
*Just feel really good!

If you’ve never had your glutes worked during a massage (or feel unsure about it), let your therapist know. They can use draping techniques to keep you comfortable while targeting this key area.

Your glutes deserve love too!

Fun Facts About the Human Body

Did you know your body has over 600 muscles?

That’s a lot of moving parts working together to help you walk, lift, stretch, and simply live your daily life. But with stress, poor posture, or repetitive movements, those muscles can become tight, fatigued, or even painful.

That’s where massage therapy comes in.
Massage helps:
🔹 Increase blood flow to muscles
🔹 Release built-up tension
🔹 Improve flexibility and mobility
🔹 Reduce soreness and fatigue

Whether you’re active, sitting at a desk, or somewhere in between, massage helps keep your muscles healthy, flexible, and pain-free—so you can move through life feeling your best.

How Long Should a Massage Be?

Massage sessions typically last 60 or 90 minutes, but the ideal duration depends on your needs and goals. A 60-minute massage is great for general relaxation, stress relief, and addressing specific areas of tension. If you're short on time or only need work on a targeted area—like your neck, shoulders, or lower back—you may benefit from a 30-minute session. For a more comprehensive experience, a 90-minute massage allows your therapist to work through multiple areas with greater detail, helping to release deeper tension and enhance overall relaxation.

Not sure which length is best for you? Your therapist can help recommend the right session based on your concerns and wellness goals. No matter the duration, regular massage can support your body’s health and well-being!
