Meet the triceps 💪

These powerhouse muscles on the back of your arms do more than just help you look strong—they’re responsible for straightening your elbow (think pushing movements like push-ups, presses, and getting up off the floor).

✨ Fun facts:
• The long head crosses the shoulder, helping with arm movement behind your body
• Triceps make up about 2/3 of your upper arm mass (so if you want stronger-looking arms… don’t skip them 😉)
• They’re heavily used in everyday life—pushing doors, lifting yourself up, even stabilizing your arm during fine movements

Whether you're training, recovering, or just moving through your day—your triceps are working hard for you.

Sometimes the best thing you can do… is pause.

Take a breath.

Let your shoulders drop.

Give your body a minute to catch up.

We’ll take care of the rest 🌿

Bethany is in her advanced year at Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies and brings a strong background as a certified personal trainer—so she really understands how the body moves (and what happens when it doesn’t 😉).

Beth takes a thoughtful, whole-body approach—because feeling your best isn’t just about muscles, it’s about your nervous system too 💚

Low back tightness on one side? It might be your QL. 👇

The quadratus lumborum (QL) is a deep muscle in your lower back that connects your pelvis to your lower ribs.

It works hard to:
• Stabilize your spine
• Help you side bend
• Support you when you walk, run, lift, or carry kids

When it gets overworked or tight, you might feel:
✔️ One-sided low back pain
✔️ A deep, achy discomfort
✔️ Pain when standing from sitting
✔️ Tightness that stretching doesn’t fully fix

The QL often compensates when hips, glutes, or core aren’t doing their share — so treatment isn’t just about “digging into the low back.” It’s about addressing the full movement pattern.
If this sounds familiar, we can help. 💚
