After many twists, turns, life lessons, and different paths along the way… I find myself back here again. 💛

Teaching Reiki.

And honestly, it feels timely.

The world feels heavy right now. So many people are emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, overstimulated, and carrying far more than they realize. Reiki was one of the first things that truly helped me slow down, reconnect with myself, and understand how deeply stress and energy affect our lives.

I first learned Reiki in 1998 as a stressed single mom who was trying to hold everything together. I had no idea then how much this gentle practice would shape my life over the years.

Now, after all this time, I’m teaching again — not because I think Reiki magically fixes everything, but because I still deeply trust the process. I’ve seen how supportive, calming, grounding, and healing it can be for people navigating real life.

My next Reiki 1 & 2 with Holy Fire III training is happening May 29–31 in Winnipeg.

Something magical is stirring again at Vital Village Metaphysical Shoppe

On June 1st, under the energy of the Blue Moon Full Moon, Karen and I will be gathering once more for an evening of deep rest, release, healing, and remembrance.

These evenings are never just “events.”
They become little sanctuaries for the soul.

A place to breathe again.
A place to set down the heaviness for a while.
A place to reconnect with the parts of yourself that got buried beneath stress, survival mode, overthinking, grief, responsibilities, or simply… life.

Karen will surround us with the healing vibrations of the sound bowls while I guide a special Crow Medicine Akashic Journey focused on releasing old patterns, calming the nervous system, and opening space for something new to enter.

Blue Moons have always carried a little extra magic.
They remind us that transformation doesn’t always happen loudly. Sometimes it happens quietly… in the stillness, in the tears we finally let fall, in the deep breath our body has been waiting to take.

If your spirit has been feeling tired lately…
If your nervous system has been stretched thin…

I think I have a squirrel spirit guide. 😂

Ever since I started doing Reiki in my new studio space, there’s been a squirrel hanging around outside the Reiki room window. Usually he sits on the air conditioner box staring in like he pays rent, or I hear him running up and down the outside wall.

But he only really seems to get active when something “important” is happening.

One day during a Reiki session, he started making SUCH a racket in the wall that I became convinced he had somehow gotten into my furnace room. I actually ran downstairs to the restaurant below and asked Phil (one of the brothers who owns it) if he could help me because I was afraid if I opened the door, a squirrel was going to come flying out at me.

Phil calmly said:
“Just bang on the wall. He’ll go away.”

And weirdly… it worked.

For a while anyway. 😂

Then another time, I had a client in who was absolutely terrified of squirrels. Well apparently my squirrel friend picked up on that energy because he went completely stir crazy in the wall during her session.

Today though, he escalated things.

I walked into the Reiki room with a client and noticed drywall dust all over the carpet in the corner. I thought:
“What the heck? I JUST vacuumed.”

Then I looked up.

There was a little hole in the drywall.

And during the Reiki session we could hear him scratching and chewing away inside the wall while we both tried not to laugh. Afterwards I told my client I was honestly worried his whiskers were about to poke through the hole mid-treatment.

So downstairs I went again to report on the squirrel situation to Jimmy (another brother from the restaurant downstairs), but this time I told him I had already tried to handle it myself…

…I stuck incense sticks into the hole in case the squirrel didn’t like the smell and decided to move on. 😂

Which honestly feels like the most Reiki-practitioner solution possible.

But of course after all this, I had to look up squirrel medicine.

And interestingly, squirrel medicine symbolizes preparation, gathering resources, trusting the future, storing wisdom, adaptability, and learning not to panic about survival.

That hit me hard.

Because lately my whole life has felt a bit like “squirrel energy.”

Gathering teachings.
Building courses.
Writing books.
Recording meditations.
Trying to create a future from scratch while trusting it will all somehow come together.

And maybe that’s why this little creature keeps showing up.

What struck me most is that the squirrel didn’t stay OUTSIDE the Reiki room anymore.

Now he’s literally coming in through the wall.

Almost like spirit saying:
“You’re not just thinking about this next chapter anymore. You’re already in it.”

And maybe that’s the medicine.

Not some grand sign from the heavens.

Just a squirrel chewing through drywall during Reiki sessions while reminding me to adapt, trust myself, and stop worrying so much about the future and have a little fun.

Spirit works in strange ways sometimes. 🐿️🖤 I think i'm gonna name him Loki!
