CLINIC OPEN:

I have reopened my business to see clients this past month.

I am following COVID-19 safety requirements as outlined by MB health.

All clients need to read the MB screening tool before attending session. Everyone must have no symptoms, if anyone has symptoms he/she is advised to get tested.

Call if any questions.
I screen all clients to assess if I am the right person to help manage their therapy concerns.

CLOSED DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC:

I have been closed since 3.20.20 due to corona virus crisis when the MB government issued state of emergency & closed all non essential businesses.

When safe to resume therapy sessions, I will open my doors. I am following my professional association’s guidelines which is directed by Canadian government.

My hope is to resume my practice in May or June but that will depend upon what unfolds this next month.

MANAGING CHRONIC PAIN TALK:

My therapy talk on managing chronic pain was well received at McNally Robinson Bookstore on March 7th. There was great participation which makes the session interesting & fun.

The best feedback I received was from a participant who told me at the break that she ‘feels validated’. That is the best compliment one could ask for. Knowing my talk impacted at least one person makes all the preparation worth it.

Each participant went home with a handout of the slide presentation & some helpful resource sheets.

Exciting news: I have been invited back to talk this fall.

Will keep you posted.

MANAGING HEADACHES TALK:

My therapy talk on managing headaches went really well at McNally Robinson Bookstore on February 6th. I received great reviews & feedback.

Each participant went home with a copy of the slide presentation
& some helpful resource sheets.

Next talk: Managing Chronic Pain on March 7th, 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

CBC RADIO: UP TO SPEED

On Monday, January 28th, I visit the CBC studio on Portage Avenue to visit with Ismaila & talk with him about headaches.

It was a brief chat but a great opportunity to share information about managing headaches.

This is my second visit to the studio but my first session focused on my therapy work. Talking live is fun but challenging as one never knows what they might ask.

If you missed the live show at 3:40 last week, you can listen to this recording.

This Wednesday evening, February 6th, I will be at McNally Robinson to share my Managing Headaches community classroom session.

There are limited seating for this event, 7-9:00 PM. See link in comments to register to attend. There is a small fee $30. Each participant will received a folder with helpful sheets & copy of the lecture for their reference. I will be sharing 10 self help recommendations.

CONDITION POST: TENNIS ELBOW/LATERAL EPICONDYLITIS

Tendinitis affecting extensor tendons that attach at lateral epicondyle (elbow area) is a very common painful elbow condition.

This condition is an overuse injury that usually responds well to physiotherapy. Acupuncture can be helpful for pain relief & to heal this injury.
