The Richard A. Bevan Memorial Award Fund was established by the Incident Prevention Association of Manitoba (IPAM) in memory of Richard Bevan, who was a prominent member who held multiple positions with IPAM’s executive board. Richard was also a member of the Red River College steering committee that developed and maintained the Occupational Health & Safety Program at the College. A $500 award is available to a full time, mature student (Manitoba resident over the age of 25) going through a career change by attending the Occupational Health & Safety program at Red River College.

He is the principal investigator of the nationwide Apple Hearing Study and developed a job-exposure matrix for occupational noise in the U.S. and Canada. Neitzel also chairs the ACGIH® TLV®-PA Committee.

To recognize and celebrate Safety and Health week 2024, and to emphasize the importance of workplace safety, particularly for new and young workers, Protec Hearing Inc., and the Incident Prevention Association of Manitoba are holding a Bingo Bowl 🎳on May 9, 2024 at the Polo Park Bowling Lanes.
This is a fun event, with competition, prizes and food, and the net proceeds from the event will be donated to the Steps for Life in support of Threads for Life and the Richard Bevan Memorial Fund.
