Registered Dental Hygienist (4 Days/Week + 1 Saturday/Month)

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday + 1 Saturday/month (no long weekends!)

Tuesday & Wednesday: 9am to 5pm
Thursday: 12pm to 8pm
Friday: 8am to 2pm

Meet Kristen, the newest hygienist to our team, a highly experienced dental hygienist and although she’s the newest hygienist to the team she’s not new to us and has been a vital part of our family for the past 3.5 years. ​​​​​​​​​
With her infectious sense of humor and down-to-earth nature, she brings laughter and lightness to the office every day. Her ability to connect with patients is unmatched—you’ll often hear her chatting with them as if they’ve been lifelong friends. Kristen is not only great with adults but has a special talent for working with children, putting them at ease while educating them in a fun, approachable way.

As a dental professional, she’s known for her strong work ethic and is never afraid to roll up her sleeves and help out wherever needed. Whether it’s supporting her team or going the extra mile for a patient, Kristen is always up to lend a hand, making her an invaluable friend and colleague.

Outside of work, Kristen is knee deep running around after her two adorable toddlers with her husband, cherishing family moments and making the most of her downtime. Her warmth, dedication, and sense of humor make her a true asset to our office, and her patients appreciate how comfortable and confident she makes them feel during every visit.

Meet Lindsay, a dedicated dental hygienist who has been an integral part of our team for over five years. ​​​​​​​​​
Known for her kindness and gentle approach, she is passionate about educating patients on personalized oral care, making sure everyone feels informed and empowered without ever coming across as being lectured, which let’s be honest, nobody wants! Lindsay has a special gift for working with children, helping them feel comfortable and confident during their visits while teaching them the importance of good oral hygiene in a fun and engaging way.

Outside of the office, Lindsay loves staying active and enjoys running in her spare time, often participating in local races. Her enthusiasm for health and wellness extends beyond her professional life, as she inspires both patients and coworkers alike with her dedication and caring nature. Whether you’re a child or an adult, Lindsay makes every visit a warm and welcoming experience.

Introducing Morgan!​​​​​​​​​
Our most senior Hygienist Morgan has been with our office since 2014, just shy of 10 years! Sensing a theme here, our team likes to stay around a while!

Morgan brings with her a wealth of experience and deep knowledge in her field. Her warm, welcoming demeanor instantly puts patients at ease, and her contagious laugh fills the office with a sense of comfort and joy.

Beyond her exceptional clinical skills, she’s known for being just as great a friend as she is a coworker, always offering a listening ear or a helping hand. Passionate about sharing her expertise, she also serves as a mentor to new dental hygienists, guiding them with the same care and dedication she brings to every patient.

Another thing about Morgan, she is a very talented artist so all those doodles and posters you see on our sidewalk board out front you can accredit them to her!

Morgan you are a true asset not only to the team but to every patient you see! Thank you for all that you do!

The newest addition to our team is Thea!​​​​​​​​​
Thea is our newest Dental Assistant, and this is her first year with our team. We thank our lucky stars we found her, and she has fit right into our team like she has been with us for years. Bringing with her the kindest smile and brightest attitude, our patients appreciate her almost as much as we do! She has already made a lasting impression with her incredible kindness and genuine care for our patients. Having recently completed her orthodontic training, Thea brings a fresh perspective and a passion for helping people achieve their best smiles. Her warm and compassionate nature makes every patient feel comfortable and cared for, and we are excited to see her grow in her career with us.

It feels as though Thea was born to work with people, she definitely picked a great career given her way with people, always making them feel welcomed and at ease which in a dental office speaks volumes.

Thea grew up in Saskatchewan and has always had a passion for dance. Anyone who grew up dancing knows the responsibility, discipline and respect learned through the art which is very evident in the way she conducts herself day to day. She has an immense passion for her sweet dog Benji, she loves golfing and always loves connecting and spending time with her family.

Meet Kym! With over 25 years of experience in the dental field, she joined our team in 2019 and has been a cornerstone of our practice ever since. Known for her honesty and straightforward approach, she balances her "tell it like it is" attitude with a deep well of compassion, kindness, and empathy that puts our patients at ease. Her vast knowledge and experience make her an invaluable resource, and her genuine care for each patient is evident in every interaction.​​​​​​​​​
One word to describe Kym as a coworker and friend is generous. Always offering you something whether it’s tea, yogurt, protein shakes, Advil, her help with room turnover or seating patients in between her own… She always makes sure you have what you need! She is also very attentive to our schedule, always going through the days ahead to see who is booked to ensure we have enough time booked and resources available to accommodate each patient making our days run super smooth!

Outside of the office, Kym's greatest joy is her beautiful daughter, who is truly the light of her life. You will always find Kym on her days off, winter through summer, embracing her love for the outdoors at the lake, especially fishing or snowmobiling! If given the chance, she’d move to the lake tomorrow—and she's well on her way to making that dream a reality in the future!

We are happy to announce we are now accepting the Federal Government’s CDCP plan and are prepared to direct bill this plan on your behalf! All you need to do is provide your assigned plan number to our office at the time of your booking and in real time we will be able to tell you what the plan does and does not cover allowing you to decide what you want to book for. This plan is new to us as well and we will do our very best to help you along in the process with the information given to us about it so far. We will ensure you have informed consent every step of the way meaning as always you tell us what you would like to do!

Spotlight Sunday!​​​​​​​​​
Here we meet Brianna, she is our most senior Registered Dental Assistant and Dr. Lau's go to orthodontic helper. If you have questions, she has answers!

Brianna has been with our office since 2011 and has helped make our office the warm and welcoming office our patients rave about. Her vast knowledge of dentistry and warm demeanor makes her an invaluable member of our team. She often works alongside Dr. Friesen, but she can also be found knee deep in ortho with Dr. Lau on Thursdays or helping out anyone else in need throughout the rest of the week. She can also be accredited with training our newer team members too so all those rock stars we have you can partially thank her for, we are so lucky to have her as part of the family!

We also need to thank her for taking such good care of our team! Ever the mother hen, you can bet at least 4 of out her 5 shifts per week she’s feeding someone or preparing their lunch for them. We appreciate you Brianna!

When Brianna is not at the office you can find her running around after her two adorable young children and spending time with family. She also loves hitting up a good craft show or finding a good documentary to dive in to. And don't worry, she will teach you all about what she learned during those documentaries ;)

Next up on our Spotlight Sunday is our office manager Ainsley!​​​​​​​​​
Ainsley has been with us for as long as we've been open! That's right, she started her career with us fresh out of school as our very first Registered Dental Assistant and then moved into our management role in 2009. Ainsley has kept up her Assisting license all these years and enjoys jumping into the back often to help out with patients when needed. If you ask her, the favorite part about her job is meeting the patients and maintaining those wonderful relationships. Whether you see her in her office knee deep in paperwork, upfront greeting patients or in the back helping with procedures, one thing for sure is that you will see her somewhere in the building! She has her hands in all the pots!

Ainsley's approach to management is trust and transparency. Whether she is going to bat with your insurance company for you, easing an anxious young patient through their appointment or walking a patient through their treatment plan you can be assured that she has your best interest at heart and will do her very best to make your appointment as seamless as possible. And with 17 years of experience behind her, you can trust that you are in good hands.

In her spare time Ainsley loves the outdoors, but only in the summer ;) She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and caring for her dogs. She is also currently completing her HR certification through the University of Calgary so we say "spare time" very loosely!
