ACTIVITIES & OUTREACH
The MNN holds an annual scientific meeting in June and a monthly seminar and visiting speaker series to encourage familiarity, communication, and collaboration among our basic and clinical neuroscience research community. To raise awareness of our research and to promote neuroscience education, the MNN has launched a Speaker Bureau that makes Manitoba neuroscientists available to lay audiences (schools, community centres, or charitable organizations) to discuss neuroscience research. In addition, as part of Brain Awareness Week, the MNN helps coordinate the annual Winnipeg Brain Bee competition for high school students in the Winnipeg School Division.
