As a therapist, I hold space every day for people carrying pain, resilience, and stories that are often unseen. Today, I’m reminded that for many Indigenous communities, that pain is rooted not only in personal experiences but in generations of loss, displacement, and survival.

I know that my role in reconciliation isn’t just about acknowledgment. It’s about how I show up in my work and in my relationships. It’s about listening deeply, honouring truths, and creating spaces where Indigenous clients and communities feel safe, respected, and valued.

I carry gratitude for the strength, wisdom, and teachings of Indigenous Peoples, and I also carry responsibility to keep learning, unlearning, and doing better.

Today, I pause in remembrance. I reflect on the children who never came home, the families forever changed, and the ongoing journey toward healing.
Every day, not just today, I commit to holding space for truth, for healing, and for hope. 🧡

You Deserve to Heal. You Deserve to Thrive.
The strength of your ancestors flows through you.
But strength doesn’t mean carrying it all alone.

Therapy is not weakness.
Therapy is reclamation. Resistance. Healing.

Break cycles. Speak your truth. Reconnect with your spirit. Your healing matters - not just for you, but for the generations to come.

Whether you're navigating trauma, grief, identity, or simply want to grow—therapy is a powerful step toward change.

As an immigrant Social Worker, I am deeply familiar with the unique challenges faced by Indigenous individuals and families. I have extensive experience supporting and working with clients to navigate these challenges, providing compassionate and culturally informed care.

Take that first step today. Your future self will thank you.

Leaving home is one thing. Feeling at home again – that's the harder part.

Maybe you left everything behind to start over.
Or maybe you were born here, but still feel like you're living in two different worlds.
The expectations. The silence. The guilt. The pride.
It’s a lot to carry, especially alone.

If you’ve ever felt caught in-between —
between languages, identities, generations,
If you’ve ever felt like you're not “enough” of either culture,
You’re not broken. You’re not alone.

Therapy can be a space to untangle the weight of it all— and to finally feel at home within yourself.

You deserve peace. You deserve support.
There's space for you and your stories here.

As a therapist, this is one of the most common questions I get asked! I’d love for you to help spread the word by sharing and commenting the example in your own language or dialect. Let’s make this conversation more accessible to everyone!

🌍✨ Navigating life in Canada as an immigrant comes with unique challenges, often leading to isolation and mental health struggles—especially for youth and adults caught between cultures.

As someone who moved from the Philippines at 15, I understand this journey firsthand. My dual cultural background allows me to bridge generational gaps and provide culturally sensitive support.

With a background in Health Sciences & Social Work, I am passionate about supporting youth, immigrants, and Indigenous communities through life’s challenges. Healing starts with support—you don’t have to go through it alone. 💙
