Hi from dialysis! I am doing dialysis Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for four hours a day. My lovely daughter comes with me on Saturdays! Iron was given to me and I needed oxygen because my blood pressure was low.

Update on the transplant journey I am waiting for one more test to be scheduled then I’ll see urology then they will tell me if I’m eligible to get a transplant

Update: had to go to the ER because the water pills stopped working and I also developed a hand trimmer. I am now starting dialysis on December 5.

I have been away for awhile. Wanted to give an update. Been restricted to 1.5 L of liquid per day and the doctors have increased my water pill to 240 mg a day to prolong dialysis for another couple of weeks to give my fistula time to heal

My first fistula surgery on Aug 12 for dialysis did not work they rescheduled me for today. I hope this one works. Wish me luck

I have fluid overload again… on water pills…. It lowered my kidney function sadly… my kidneys are now at 10%

CKD and other chronic illnesses can take a lot of energy from a person. Just because someone doesn’t look sick doesn’t mean they aren’t sick.

I have my ankle pressure test Aug 6 and then one more test to do after that and then I will know if I am found eligible to receive a kidney.

It has been officially confirmed that my daughter is NOT a blood group match for me… please if anyone out there is 0+ please consider donating.

Again If you have decided you can or want to donate to me and start the process of being my living donor you need to contact the Living Kidney Donor Program by telephone.
