TEN YEARS in the Pembina Valley!!! 🎊🎉🥹
On August 26, 2015, I drove down Highway 3 with one of my best friends (shoutout to my dear Karleigh for braving the road and the challenge with me that day) to start my very first day of work in Carman, Manitoba. It was a daunting but incredible opportunity - taking on a group of transfer patients in urgent need of a new orthodontist. That day marked the beginning of my practice in the Pembina Valley: the start of a decade-long story of service, persistence, hope, and - most importantly- smiles. Thousands of smiles built and shared with the wonderful people of southern Manitoba. 🩷
Thank you to everyone who welcomed me, gave me a chance, challenged me, supported me… and even fed and housed me through pregnancies, snowstorms, and tough times. This community embraced me as one of their own and changed my life forever. I am grateful beyond words.
On my drive home that first day in 2015, Karleigh snapped a photo of me in a nearby cornfield. Ten years later, in 2025, I returned to that same field (beans this time!) with my dear team member, Casey, who captured a beautiful sunset photo that perfectly reflects the joy this journey has brought to me and my family. Thank you, Casey, for sharing this special moment with me.
