Let’s Lend a Helping Hand
I have been talking to the staff at Nova House in Selkirk – Women’s Shelter – Empowering Women to Live Free! I am hearing about the needs of many women and children during this Covid time. As we have entered into the Lenten Season – I feel there is a need for us at Warren United Church to reach out and help if we can and make some donations to help make a difference to some families in need.
I am willing to look after any contributions and deliver them to Selkirk. I would like to deliver things over before Easter so would like to have any contributions to our place by Sat, March 20th. Following is a list of items they are most in need of right now followed by a list of items that are always appreciated.
Immediate needs – shampoo/conditioner/body wash – not too large
- Diapers – size 5 and 6 - Baby Wipes
- Laundry detergent
- Fabric softener dryer sheets
- New or gently used bedding – single/double
- Reusable face masks – 3 ply
- Disposable gloves
Items always appreciated – Liquid laundry detergent
- Art supplies – painting canvases – not framed
- Bath towels
