What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is not a traditional dermal filler. It is a biostimulator made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biodegradable material that has been safely used in medical applications for decades.
When injected into the deeper layers of the skin, Sculptra works by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production. Rather than adding instant volume, it gradually restores lost facial structure, improves skin firmness, and enhances overall skin quality over time.
What does Sculptra treat?
• Volume loss in the cheeks, mid-face, and lower face
• Skin laxity and loss of firmness
• Smile lines, marionette lines, and facial wrinkles
• Overall collagen depletion due to aging
What to expect:
Results develop gradually over several weeks to months as new collagen forms, creating subtle, natural-looking improvements that can last up to two years. For optimal results, a series of treatments spaced over a few months is typically recommended. Depending on age and the collagen we lose over time, 1 vial per decade is recommended. For example if you are in your 40s, 4 vials is recommended.
