"February is heart month. The morning started out with trivia and interesting facts about heart health. One great way to keep our heart healthy, is to keep exercising. The participants did seated activities with skipping ropes. They had fun and were successful rolling the pool noodles back and forth. The highest amount without it sliding off, was 14. Some allowed themselves to be challenged with cardboard tubes, and they were also successful with that. The next activity was holding on to the skipping rope in pairs, and rolling a ball from one end of the group to the other. Of course we had to have music. Next they had fun doing a seated chicken dance. The morning ended with doing double dutch with their partner across the table. It was awesome to see and hear the laughter, giggles, and encouragement within the group. Each one truly, "Embraced Their Abilities." Until next time.
