Back to school means more germs! If you're seeking care for yourself or your child, consider Urgent Care Ontario.

Urgent Care Ontario offers appointments for children and adults residing in Southwestern Ontario. Appointment costs are fully covered with an Ontario health card and are available same day on a first-come, first serve basis.

Whenever possible, your primary care provider is your first point of access for care. A virtual urgent care appointment may be right for you if you or a loved one have a medical issue that is NOT life threatening, but requires urgent medical attention.

What does our Community Council do?

Our Community Council is made up of members with lived experience who ensure our Ontario Health Team’s work is grounded in the voices of patients, clients, caregivers, and families in Oxford County. They provide recommendations on matters that directly impact the patient and caregiver experience.

At our latest meeting, the Council:
➡️ Shared updates from OHT projects and working groups
➡️ Provided input on upcoming priorities and initiatives
➡️ Discussed opportunities to bring community voice into new programs like the HART Hub

Thank you to our Community Advisors for bringing lived experience and community voice into this important work!

Team meeting! 💡

Our operations team meets regularly for project updates, priority planning, and in today's case, for celebration! MBA student, Malaysia, will be extending her contract with the Oxford OHT and Southwestern Public Health until December. Her help with HART Hub planning has been so valuable; we are thrilled to have her continued support 👏

Don’t have a Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner? 🩺

We encourage you to register with Health Care Connect, a provincial program that helps connect Ontarians without a primary care provider to one in their community.

Previously, you could not register if you already had a Primary Care Provider. Health Care Connect recently changed this rule, so you may register even if you are attached elsewhere. Reasons for doing so may include location (i.e. you just moved to a new area and your doctor is far away), or to prepare for your doctor/NPs retirement.

👉 To sign up, call 8-1-1 or visit ontario.ca/healthcareconnect

If you or someone you know is without a provider, take a few minutes to register today.
