Hi Everyone,
I am a long standing resident of Ward 1.
I feel I just have to say something about the candidates and how they have represented me up to this point.
Steve Buckingham Mayoral Candidate has done more for this community than anyone I can think of. He is continually doing things for the community that no one is even aware of, and never wants any accolades for his efforts. For example, during this election he has been overseeing the re insulation and installation of new siding on the community Center.
Steve, is responsible for our community shelter, off road rescue trailer, building and installing all our community bulletin boards, and protecting 10,000 acres around our beautiful Lakes. These are just a few of the many things Steve has done for this community.
On top of all this, as many of you are aware Steve is a member of the North Lake Fire Department and Eel River Rescue. In an area where an ambulance may be an hour away, it is the fire department that will likely be providing medical first responder services. There is a real good chance that Steve Buckingham will be the one providing these medical services.
If you are broken down or lost in the woods it will be Steve Buckingham that is out searching and trying to rescue you.
Steve ran a very successful business for years and I know his work ethics. If he is elected Mayor I know he will work every bit as hard for Lakeland Ridges as he has for the Parish of North Lake.
As for Ross Stairs and Perry Bull Councillor Candidates, I feel there track record speaks for its self. In the short time they have been on the L*D Advisory Committee they have turned our waste disposal site into an environmentally friendly, clean and well operated site.
They have gone above and beyond in there efforts to keep all residents both permanent and non permanent informed of how this government reform will impact us. I just want people to realize how lucky we are to have representation like this. As you may remember at our summer meeting a resident of the L*D of Canterbury had to attend our meeting to find out what was going on with government reform. They stated they had tried to contact their transition team representatives with no luck.
In addition Ross and Perry are also on the Fire Department and Perry is on Eel River Rescue.
The amount of time and dedication these 3 gentlemen have given to their community is overwhelming. We would be lucky to have them represent us.
I urge you to support Steve, Ross and Perry and get out and vote on Monday Nov.28th.
