Our Christmas gifts have been sent! There were some delays with the postal strike, illnesses and with connecting with the recipients but I’m happy to say all our gifts are on their way or have been received! We were able to send 10 very full boxes to 10 families living in Northern remote parts of Canada. Each picture is one box of gifts. Once they were packed in I was able to add in at least 2 baggies of snacks to each box.
Box 1 went to a family in Kugaaruk, Nunavut. After packing it up, along with the snacks, I added in another new plate, a small stuffie, another toothpaste and a new kids book.
Box 2 was shipped to a family in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. After snacks, I added in a new Jenga game.
Box 3 is headed to a family in Baker Lake, Nunavut. On top of the snacks, I was able to add a pair of new kids socks, and a new pack of crayons.
Box 4 is going to another family in Rankin Inlet. Along with the snacks, I added in another new Jenga game.
Box 5 was sent to yet another family in Rankin Inlet. Snacks, Paw Patrol toys, and 2 new books were added in after packing it up.
Box 6 was mailed to a family in Taloyoak, Nunavut. Along with the snacks, I was able to add in 2 new kids books and new sidewalk chalk.
Box 7 went to a family in Clyde River, Nunavut. After the items and snacks went in, I added new kids socks, 2 kids books, and another toothpaste.
Box 8 was shipped to a family in Selkirk, Manitoba. This was the first time I have shipped to someone in Selkirk, it’s not too often now that I find someone in a community I haven’t shipped to before. Along with the snacks, I added in new kids socks, another toothpaste, a bar of soap and Oreos.
Box 9 is headed to a family in Coral Harbour, Nunavut. Once the items and snacks were in, I was able to add bars of soap, another toothpaste, and a travel pack of Kleenex.
Box 10 went to a family also in Taloyoak. I had room to add in the snacks and bars of soap.
Thank you so much to everyone of you for making this happen, from those who shared posts to those who donated funds and gifts to those who provided support. It’s a blessing to be able to organize and send these gifts.
Stay tuned for some announcements and updates in the near future as we continue this journey of blessing those living in Northern remote parts of Canada.
