We just love how close these assistants get during leadership in training camp. After an incredible day getting the studio ready to welcome all our students back, these assistants to be decorated, graduated, danced the morning away with their own choreographed pieces, and took a trip to for a much deserved ice cream break. We cannot wait for these new assistants to make their mark on the younger crowd at the studio and become the newest role models at TWSDY. Congratulations LIT 2025! 🥰💕💙💕💙

*** NEW INCREDIBLE FACULTY ALERT! ***

Please help us in Welcoming Miss Emma to the TWSDY Faculty! Miss Emma is another incredible Royal Academy of Dance registered teacher having just completed her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education with the Royal Academy of Dance in conjunction with University of Bath in England. We cannot wait to learn so much from her this year.

Over the course of 21 years of dance training, 8 of those years being competitive training and pre-professional training, Miss Emma earned numerous awards and judges' accolades for work individually as well as with her teammates. Miss Emma has successfully completed her R.A.D. Ballet exams from Grade 2 to Grade 8 as well as the vocational levels from Intermediate Foundations to Advanced 1, while continuing to work on the completion of her Advanced 2. She also completed her I.S.T.D. exams from Intermediate Foundations up to Advanced 1 in
Modern Theatre - Jazz as well as levels of Jazz Awards (Gold, Silver and Bronze) through the I.S. T.D.

Miss Emma attended several summer ballet intensive programs including Canada's Ballet Jorgen, and Quinte Ballet School. Expanding her dance education, Miss Emma also attended regular ballet private coaching classes at the National Ballet School under the tutelage of Gerard Mclsaac, as well as private coaching with Mercedes Bernardez and Sarah Koekkoek at the The National Ballet of Canada

Miss Emma had been cast as part of Canada's Ballet Jorgen's Local Participants Program in their productions of The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition in 2015 and 2017; Sleeping Beauty in 2016; and Coppelia in 2019. Miss Emma also auditioned for, and was cast for a number of roles, in Hamilton City Ballet's production of The Nutcracker in 2016, under the artistic direction of Max Ratevosian and Melania Pawliw.

Miss Emma auditioned for, and was successfully placed on, World Performers Canada's national team for the international Dance World Cup, 2020, in the genre of Ballet.
As a pre-protessional dancer, Miss Emma relocated to Toronto, temporarily, for school at George Brown College for the full-time Performance Program which was a joint program that included full-time dance at Canada's Ballet Jorgen. She has completed her final year in the joint Bachelor of Arts Dance Education program with the Royal Academy of Dance and the University of Bath and has become a fully certified ballet instructor with the Royal Academy of Dance

Miss Emma continues to train regularly, taking technique classes in the genres of Ballet and Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary. She can't wait to teach at the Woodstock School of Dance & Yoga this season!

The Woodstock School of Dance and Yoga

Our Mission at The Woodstock School of Dance and Yoga is to encourage students to achieve their personal bests by providing a warm and inclusive atmosphere with a small teacher to student ratio, establishing strong technical foundations, and developing a love of movement for all ages and abilities. The school offers classes in Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Classical Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus), Tap, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical-Theatre, Hip Hop, and Yoga classes for Children, Teens and Adults in a non-competitive environment. The emphasis is placed on proper training, quality education, developing strong technique, love of movement and creating equal opportunities for all students. At the Woodstock School of Dance and Yoga, we believe that dance and yoga should be accessible to everyone and we are dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive environment for every child encouraging healthy body image, mindfulness, and a safe space where students can reach their full potential. The Woodstock School of Dance and Yoga strives to develop the artist within by inspiring students to believe that no goal is unattainable. Students are taught to truly believe in the beauty of their dreams by providing the confidence and skills needed to achieve them.
