Hi! I’m Mercedes and I am an RMT here at The Calm. I’ve been working as an RMT for the last 5 years.

I really love working with those who are looking to relax, whether they are dealing with tension from their job or exhaustion from parenting, I like to provide a quiet, relaxing environment where my clients can veg out.

I love to chat, but I leave it up to you, so we can have a totally silent treatment if you prefer!

My pressure tends to be light-to-medium, and I often focus on back and shoulder tension, headaches, and stress related tension. I also love fitting a full-body treatment if our time allows it.

Some facts:
#1: I have two cats, Juniper (a.k.a Junebug) and Cricket, who are as rambunctious as two toddlers.

#2: I love live music, and have seen almost 100 different bands/artists, I can’t even remember the name of some of them šŸ™ˆ.

Heys, I’m Stacey and I’ve been a registered massage therapist at the calm for pretty close to 6 years now.

I love working with those who are both new and old to the world of massage therapy. Whether they’ve had on going treatment for years and are looking for a new provider or are looking to experience their first massage.

I really enjoy working with all different types of people from looking to relieve muscle tension due to postural , work or stress to looking for treatment to help with low back pain , headaches/migraines, neck and shoulder pain/tightness, and more.

My pressure style I would describe as medium but can lighten or even add a bit more depending on what works best, I check in often to know how to adjust for comfort.

I like to focus treatments on the main areas of pain and discomfort to get the most out of each session, but has been known to do a full body relaxation from time to time.

Beyond the world of massage I’m a real parent to 2 kids and a pet parent to 3 cats - Munson, Tweeter and Figsy - who has extra thumbs/toes and probably would have made a great massage therapist.

I’ve also been known to dabble in Final Fantasy 14.

Hello, I’m Karen!

With over 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, I began offering private services at The Calm just over a year ago—and it has been a great year!

My practice focuses on Foot and Lower Limb Care. With Advanced Certification for Nurses, I work with high-risk clients, including those with diabetes, neuropathy, and compromised circulation.

I treat problems such as ingrown toenails, corns, and callouses, while emphasizing thorough assessment, education, and prevention.

My goal is to reduce discomfort and support the long-term health of your foundation—your feet and legs—so you can continue doing the activities you enjoy.

I am also certified in Complete Decongestive Therapy and provide comprehensive treatment for swelling in the legs. Whether the cause is known—such as lymphedema, lipedema, circulatory issues, or related to surgery or injury —or remains unclear, I understand how challenging heavy, uncomfortable legs can be.

I take a holistic approach, considering your medical conditions and current treatments/medications. As needed, I collaborate with your health-care providers to ensure safe, coordinated care. Treatment includes evidence-based strategies such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage, compression therapy, and self-management techniques.

I genuinely love offering these services, as they blend clinical expertise with hands-on care and the reward of seeing meaningful improvements in my clients’ health.

A few fun facts about me: I have an identical twin sister, ice cream is my weakness, and faith, family, and friends are at the heart of my life.

I welcome you to book an appointment for any lower-limb concerns or simply for an assessment to ensure your legs are functioning at their healthiest.

Hi, I’m Sarah Pfeiffer, a Registered Massage Therapist at The Calm.

I’ve been practicing for nearly 3 years and love working with people dealing with stubborn discomfort that hasn’t resolved on its own—or who aren’t sure massage is the right fit for them.

There’s something really rewarding about helping someone leave feeling lighter and more at ease than they expected.

I often focus on lower back tension, which can open the door to working into the hips (with your consent). This approach can help ease overall tension patterns in the area.

I also enjoy treating the jaw and surrounding muscles. After completing a buccal massage course last April, I’ve been incorporating techniques that address the head, neck, and face—areas often affected by clenching and grinding.

My pressure is typically medium to firm, but I always adjust based on your comfort. Deep pressure isn’t always necessary, and sometimes a more moderate approach can be just as effective while minimizing post-treatment soreness.

In sessions, I start by warming up the area, then move into more focused work. I often assess both sides of the body—sometimes beginning with the less affected side to get a sense of your baseline—before spending more time where it’s needed most.

A little about me outside the clinic: I love slow days with family—often wandering through HomeSense with a coffee in hand. When the weather’s nice, you’ll find me out on a trail, usually with a few four-legged friends along for the walk.

I’m also big on gardening and plants. After moving into a new home late last year, I’m especially excited to see what pops up in the garden this spring 🌱

My name is Sandy. I am an osteopathic manual practitioner here at The Calm. I have been in practice for 2 years.

I enjoy working with all types of clients, but one group that has my attention are the people with chronic pain. The aches that never leave are so exhausting for people! These could come from car accidents, diseases or inflammation.

Common complaints I have seen in the clinic lately include lower back, shoulder, heel and neck pain.

Osteopathic treatment treats the body as a whole. It includes work on the pelvis and thorax/ribs since these are our largest structures and affect everything else. From there the treatment focuses on where the person is feeling discomfort.

Fun fact # 1:
I make soup from scratch so I know what's in it. My latest favourite is celery soup.

Fun fact # 2:
I am new to growing food and have a small vegetable garden. Last year I grew lettuce and kale. Butterfly larvae took over the kale in the fall.

Hey, I’m Lindsay!

I’m a massage therapist, and owner of The Calm, and I’ve been doing this for… many, many, many years!

In my treatment room, I’m a bit of a chameleon. Want to chat? I’m in. Prefer to fully zone out? I’ll meet you there too.

My work is slow, grounding, and flowy with moderate pressure. Think goldilocks. Not too much, not too little…just right.

A lot of my work involves MLD and microcurrent, especially supporting women post-op. Mastectomy, cosmetic surgery recovery, lymphedema care. It's quiet, careful work and honestly some of my favourite sessions. I also have a soft spot for the ā€œalways onā€ crowd. If your brain doesn’t have an off switch and your body is feeling it, you’re in the right place.

A few real things about me:
• My hands are basically always cold (except maybe 2 weeks in July šŸ˜…)
• I’d happily spend all day with my dog if that counted as a career
• Sofa + 90’s reruns = my ideal reset
• I love travelling and seeing wildlife their natural habitats

If you’re looking for care that meets you where you’re at, come find your calm

No judgment. We've all been that person. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

The thing is, there's never a perfect time to take care of yourself.

There's always something else on the list.

But here's what our clients say, almost every time: "I can't believe I waited this long."

If your body has been asking for attention… the stiffness, the tension, the thing that's been "fine, just a bit sore" for longer than you'd like to admit… this is your gentle nudge.

Massage & Osteopathy appointments available next week.

Seriously, go book it. šŸƒ

We have a lot of tools at The Calm… and honestly, that's the point.

Sometimes what your body needs is an RMT working through muscle tension. Sometimes it needs Sandy looking at the bigger structural picture. Joints, connective tissue, how everything is connected and why one area keeps flaring up.

Neither one is better. They just work differently. And sometimes the best plan involves both.

If you've been curious about osteopathy but weren't sure if it's the right fit, Sandy's happy to answer questions before you book.

She has appointments available next week. 🌿

People keep asking us: what does the Bioresonance Scan actually show you?

The report covers a lot of ground - organ systems, cellular health indicators, nutritional and hormonal markers, stress response, and more.

It compares your body's current frequencies against an established reference database and highlights where things look balanced and where they might need some attention.

Is it the same as a blood test or an MRI?

No. Different tool, different purpose. Think of it less like a diagnosis and more like a really detailed check-in. One that can help you have a better conversation with your body, and with whoever's helping you take care of it.

Some clients use it to connect dots they hadn't connected before.

Some just find it fascinating.

All of those are good reasons. 🌿

Whether you are seeking massage therapy due to pain, to rehab an old injury, to alleviate the symptoms of chronic stress, or even just to escape for an hour, your therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan that best suits your goals.

Each of our therapists have areas of special interest.

Lindsay has focused her training on chronic persistent pain disorders (fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue) and lymphatic drainage therapy.
