Residents filled the room with joy as they sang along to the great tunes of Gary McGill. There was plenty of toe-tapping, clapping, and smiling as everyone joined in, enjoying the music and each other’s company. With the sun shining brightly, it made for a perfect afternoon—friends gathered together, sharing laughter, songs, and wonderful moments that truly lifted everyone’s spirits.🎵🎸 🎤

Our residents have been getting creative just in time for spring! 🌸🐣 They spent time crafting adorable Easter magnets for the activity room fridge—everything from frogs and sheep to chickies, ducks, rabbits, and colorful eggs.

The room was filled with laughter as everyone worked together, making it such a fun and uplifting project. The finished display brings such a fresh, cheerful spring feel to the space!

Our Province of the Month celebration featured Nova Scotia🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿and brought together a packed room of residents for an engaging and delicious experience. Guests enjoyed a hearty bowl of clam chowder 🥣, warm biscuits, 🥐and festive cupcakes🧁decorated with the provincial flag. The event combined great food with learning, as residents watched an informative documentary that deepened their understanding and appreciation of Nova Scotia’s rich history, culture, and coastal charm. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and full of curiosity, making it a memorable gathering for everyone involved.

There’s always something special about spotting a Tim Hortons day on the calendar—it’s a simple reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things together. It’s a chance to gather in the activity room, share some Tim’s donuts, sip on our favorite specialty coffees made with the Keurig, and spend time in good company. Whether it’s catching up with familiar faces or meeting someone new, these moments are all about connection, conversation, and community. It’s not just about the coffee and treats—it’s about laughter, stories, and the joy of being together, building friendships both old and new.

Our residents continue to inspire us with their creativity, generosity, and dedication. Teri, for example, crochets the most beautiful blankets—each one made with care and pride. Thanks to the kindness of residents, families, and community members, we have been fortunate to receive generous donations of knitting supplies, including yarn, wool, and needles.

These materials are thoughtfully used by our residents to create cozy lap blankets, often while relaxing and watching their favorite TV programs. Many of these handmade pieces are lovingly gifted to family members or shared within our community, spreading warmth in more ways than one.

We truly appreciate the time, effort, and heart our residents put into their work, as well as the continued support through donations. There is always a welcome for more supplies, as many of our residents find joy and comfort in this meaningful pastime. 🧶 🧵

What better way to spend a rainy day than enjoying a friendly game of pool on the 2nd floor? With pretzels and treats to snack on, the room was filled with laughter, good old-fashioned competition, and the joy of new and old friends coming together. Set to the sounds of the ’60s playing in the background, it was an afternoon full of fun, connection, and great memories. 🎱 🥨

From creative fun like pottery at Crock A Doodle and charming tea parties at Crafty Corner, to summer ice cream trips to Bartley’s, thrifting adventures, and enjoying delicious homemade treats at Your Farm Market—there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

St. Patrick’s Day at Park Place was truly one for the books! We had a record number of bingo players, and a sea of green could be seen everywhere in the building. Hats off to our incredible kitchen staff for crafting a comforting, Irish-themed menu that made the day even more special. 🍀
