For many of us, this winter has felt loooong. The snow. The ice. The snow-ice mix. We don't need to explain it. Take a look at your entryway. You just cleaned it, and somehow, there are still specks of salt.

With that being said, we thank our Housekeeping and Aramark Teams, who have been working incredibly hard to keep hospital entrances and hallways clean and welcoming during what has undoubtedly been one of the snowiest, slushiest, iciest winters in recent memory.

We sincerely appreciate all that you do!

This time of year holds special meaning for many in our hospital and community with the arrival of Shrove Tuesday, the Lunar New Year, and the beginning of Ramadan.

While these traditions are rooted in different faiths and cultures, each includes themes of reflection and personal growth, renewal and new beginnings, and connection with family and community.

We extend our warmest wishes to everyone observing Lent, celebrating the Lunar New Year, or welcoming the start of Ramadan.

Our hospital volunteers, Ron and Judith Gillatt, were recently interviewed by My Broadcasting Corporation for Volunteer Appreciation Day.

At Woodstock Hospital, Ron volunteers in our Emergency Department, where he helps patients stay comfortable by offering warm blankets and friendly visits. Judith supports patients in our Day Surgery area by helping stock supplies and assisting discharged patients to their ride home.

We are so appreciative of Ron and Judith and of all our volunteers who make an incredible difference every day at our hospital. Take a moment to listen to their interview!

Ron and Judith's decades of volunteering are inspiring.
