Please be advised that we are currently experiencing a high volume of patients, which may result in longer-than-normal wait times in our Emergency Department (ED).

Many patients who require admission are waiting for inpatient beds. As a result, they remain in an ED bed until an inpatient bed is available on the unit. This limits space in the ED and can contribute to longer waits.

Your care and safety remain our top priority and we always triage patients based on medical urgency. We sincerely appreciate your patience and kindness and our staff work hard to provide care for our community.

First-time parents, Lauren and Kevin Mulveney, welcomed their baby boy into the world at 2:53 pm on January 1, 2026, weighing 7 lbs, 4 oz. He’s Woodstock Hospital’s first baby to arrive in the New Year.

As a friendly reminder, our patient TVs are free for patients to use. Patients can enjoy free internet access, streaming services (log in with your own account), TV channels, music, radio, games, eBooks, audiobooks, video chat, and a dedicated section with education and resources to support patient care and safety.

You can also order your patient meals directly from the patient TVs or use the CBORD patient meal ordering app on your phone, which has been helpful for families ordering meals they know their loved one would like. The cut-off time for lunch is 10:00 am, and for dinner is 2:00 pm. Of course, if our patients don't want to use the CBORD patient meal ordering app, our dedicated Food Services staff are still visiting patients to take their meal orders. This holiday season, we pause and reflect on how grateful we are for our WH team, our valued partners, and the community we are proud to serve. It's hard to put into words, but for many of us, there is something truly special about working in a medium-sized community hospital. Whether we are expanding services or pursuing new initiatives, it's always driven by our shared goal of better health outcomes for our friends, family, and neighbours.
