A lot of great core strength can be developed by incorporating instability, whether that be an unstable surface or unstable load.
Here is an example of one of many unstable surface challenges using a stability ball. This will tax the posterior chain muscles from the shoulder girdle, back and glutes.
The initial challenge is to establish stability on the ball BEFORE any movement. This initially is a challenge in itself but this was this clients first session practicing this movement.
This particular exercise can be regressed and progressed in a number of ways.
