Everyone deserves to feel beautiful in their own skin and smile at themselves when they look in the mirror.

Each client I treat has a special place in my heart.

👩🏻‍⚕️ This clinician did an excellent job breaking down the pharmacokinetics of Botox. This means once the medication is administered it has a “lifespan” within the body. Broadly speaking, while bearing in mind everyone is different, 2 weeks =maximum effect. Thus, why we do not typically correct or make changes to treatment until it’s been two weeks. At this time we need to ensure the amount of movement that remains is to the clients satisfaction and make any necessary adjustments at this time. Around week 6 you will notice your treatment softens and then gradually will continue to wear off over the next 6 - 8 weeks. At the end of three months typically the muscle strength is completely back to normal.

I think as injectors we can do better at educating our clients about how Botox works to avoid clients feeling like the Botox “didn’t work” or they have “fast/ bad” metabolism. There are ways to prolong Botox duration as mentioned in this video and we can also adjust doses if you ever feel like the treatment isn’t lasting long enough! I am certainly guilty of using the “3 month” reference a lot and I promise to do better! At Apothika we are always collaborating, learning and striving to be better for our clients! 🩷

💗 When clients come to us with their concerns we like to take the path of least resistance!

☝️What do I mean by that? This client came to us interested in filler. We start with consultation.

1. We discuss SAFETY. What are the risks of filler, what product is the safest, what is the safest technique.

2. What is most cost effective? We work within your budget.

3. What are the goals, maintenance and after care?

👩🏻‍⚕️ When discussing lip augmentation we will almost always recommend trialing a lip flip first. Why? Lip flip botox treatment is associated with less risk, less pain and more cost effective.

🌟 In this case our client is 100 % satisfied and her Botox is giving the illusion she may have had filler!

😬This clients main concern was lower face lines, mainly the pesky smile lines.

👩🏻‍⚕️ This result was achieved by injecting three treatment areas total. Cheeks, piriforms and the smile lines directly.

💉 💉 Two syringes = 2 mls placed strategically to replace volume loss over time. Giving natural subtle results! People have a common misconception that 2 mls is “ a lot “ and the filler will be noticeable and unnatural.

↔️ Photos are taken before and after procedure capturing the noticeable difference.

⏳ Post procedure day 1 our client is satisfied and experiencing light brusing, swelling and tenderness which is typical and expected!

🍰 Want your cake and eat it too?!

🥶 And by that I mean do you want a frozen forehead and lifted eye brows?!

😔 Sadly this is a difficult conversation we have to have on a frequent basis with our clients. Unfortunately having both is just not possible for a few reasons as mentioned in this clip.

⬆️ Understanding facial anatomy and conducting a full facial assessment is key. The frontalis (forehead) muscle is one of the only elevating muscles in the face. If your brows are naturally low, you have hooded eyes (excess skin above the lid) or rely heavily on be able to lift the forehead, you may not be the best candidate for forehead Botox.

☝️ This is not to say you can never have Botox treatment in your forehead. After assessment your chosen injector may decide that a small dose of neuromodulator strategicly placed at specific depth may be an appropriate treatment option.

👩🏻‍⚕️ Overall in most cases if you are looking to achieve an optimal brow lift the glabella (frown muscle) and crows feet which are both depressor muscles will be treated.

Over 3 years of being your neighbourhood nurse!👩🏻‍⚕️

Time flies when you love every moment of your career. ⏳

It has truly been such an honor and pleasure to be trusted with all your concerns and beautiful faces. 💉

My favourite moments of the last 3 years has to be a few of my filler clients. When handing them back the mirror after treatment they tear up. As time stole some of their favourite facial features we were able to restore them with dermal filler and this means everything to them. And also me, the reason I choose to do this is to restore confidence and make people feel better about themselves. When you look good, you feel good! 💪

I’m looking forward to September of 2025 when I am returning back to the clinic full time! Offering much more flexible availability, promotions, contests, give-aways, transformations, RF treatments and microneedling 🧖‍♀️

Huge thank you to Dr. Courtney Mazeroll for taking me under your wing and allowing me to be your work partner! You’ve been my biggest support, experienced mentor and friend! I would never had made it in the industry without you. 🫶🏼
