For those in Yellowknife. Temporary hours will be 10-5 Monday to Friday. We will be closed this Saturday Sunday and Monday for Labour Day. An after-hours Emergency phone # will be posted accordingly.

For all - We will also be checking Facebook messages and email as in earlier posts throughout the weekend to ensure all urgent requests are dealt with.

We will post store hour updates on this site. Please read earlier posts if you require further information.

We are back up and running again in Yellowknife with limited staff.

We want to thank Aaron at Sutherland's who has done an admirable job in providing pharmacy services to Yellowknife and surrounding communities. It was an incredible workload. We are happy to be here to help out.

Our system is now able to facilitate prescription transfers to other pharmacies.

We ask that you only contact us with urgent requests or if you have less than 10 days remaining. We have many urgent requests coming in. We will be monitoring our messages from 9-6 during the week.

The best way to contact us is Facebook Messenger if possible. Kristin and I each have access to these messages and it is the closest monitored.

Update - we are up and running again. Due to the many requests we will process requests in priority order. Please indicate how many days of medication you have left. Apologies is we don't get to it until Monday.

Our Pharmacy software will be out of service on Friday August 25th which means we will be limited in our ability to transfer prescriptions. We are fully expecting to be back online on Monday August 28th.
Today, Thursday August 24th we will be operating from 9am but stopping early at 5pm. We will be focusing on those transfers needed before the weekend and apologize if we do not get to your request today. We will take care of it on Monday. Please feel free to send Facebook messenger requests, even when our system is down.
We thank you for your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

All staff have evacuated. The main computer has been brought along but there is a process with our software provider to set it up at a remote location. The soonest this can be done will be Monday. If successful transfering prescriptions to another pharmacy will be possible.

We are unable to fill any prescriptions at this time.

If you have enough medication for the next week please wait for further updates before contacting us.

More information to follow including the best way to contact us. For now you can use the Facebook Messenger for anything critical.

Now we hope for the best possible outcome and the safety of those working to protect our communities.

The Medicine Shoppe will be open shortened hours from 9-2 today to allow our staff and store to plan and prepare for upcoming days. We will keep you posted on our status as we can.

We recommend having 2 weeks of medication on hand. If you do have at least 2 weeks, please hold off so we can address more pressing prescriptions. If you are planning to stay in Yellowknife we cannot guarantee being open beyond today.

We want to thank our patients for their sincere consideration and patience in what has been an extremely busy week.
