The Action Group has lost a great friend and supporter, Anke Tuininga. Anke was one of our sage faciltators for the Art of Healing, psychosocial programs using art as a way to discuss the cancer journey for NWT women. We send our deepest condolences to her very dear family and many, many friends.

A big Wednesday Wahoo!! to our collaborator on the the Text Me Healthy research project, Dr. Anna Singleton, University of Sydney (Australia). Dr. Singleton has recently been awarded the Early Career Researcher of the Year by the International Psychosocial Oncology Society (IPOS).

The award ceremony took place in November at the IPOS World Congress in November.

The Action Group could not think of a more deserving person for this award and know intimately, her commitment to supporting women with cancer. We are very grateful for her guidance, patience, knowledge and the shared laughter over the years getting the Text Me Healthy project on its feet.
