Four Decades of Serving Northerners and our Southern Guests!

We are grateful to our local community who stood by us over the last couple of years, as we navigated rocky bends in uncharted rivers! Our sincere thanks to all of you for supporting LOCAL! 40 years of serving Northerners and still going strong!

What a wonderful day this was! A big thank you to Christina Moore from Tree of Peace for inviting NARWAL to organize this event. A heartfelt thank you to Ernie and Beatrice Bernhardt for sharing stories from the heart, to Sophie Clark and Grace Clark for sharing their music, and to my NARWAL Team for being awesome.

The event organized by the Tree of Peace Friendship Centre promoted intergenerational connections and reconciliation. It invited about 20 participants to paddle a voyageur canoe to the rhythm of drumming and fiddlers.

Learn to play safely in whitewater, from our certified and experienced Paddle Canada Instructors. Course starts July 8 & 9, 7 - 9:30 pm (theory) AND July 10 & 17, 9 am to 5 pm (River). $350 includes all equipment! Intro/intermediate Lake Canoe certification is a firm prerequisite. Still a few spaces left in our Intro/Intermediate Lake Canoeing course which starts Sunday, June 20. Includes intensive rescue practice in the comfort and safety of the swimming pool, followed by 3 evenings of expert training on Back Bay. Our Lake Canoe Skills Courses are fast approaching!
The first course begins with a pool session on June 20th and lake sessions on June 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
The second course begins with a pool session on July 11th, and lake sessions on July 12th, 13th and 14th.
Learn to: Paddle safely and with confidence as well as learning tips and rescues in the comfort of the pool.

The response to our Kids' Paddle Camps has been so amazing that we have decided to offer a 4th day camp August 17 to 21! Youth 7 to 11 years learn to identify and avoid lake hazards, rescue themselves and others, basic canoe and kayak maneuvers, wilderness survival skills, and participate in a day tour. Most of all, we have fun while we learn!
