Why I'm recommending this book to our clients (and anyone navigating loss)📖

In our work as counsellors, we see so many people struggling with "secondary grief" - the shame or frustration they feel because they think they should be "further along" in their healing.

Megan Devine's It's Ok That You're Not Ok is one of the best resources I've found for dismantling those myths. She shifts the focus from "fixing" grief to tending to it.

Why is this book a game-changer:

- It validates the "unfixable": Some losses can't be made "right," and that's ok.

- It challenges the "stages" of grief: Grief isn't a linear path with a finish line.

-It offers practical advice: How to handle well-meaning but hurtful comments from friends and family.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by loss, know that your grief is a natural response to love. You don't have to carry it perfectly.
