Christine Sander, Registered Massage Therapy

Christine Sander, Registered Massage Therapy Registered Massage Therapist since 2001 My name is Christine Sander. I have been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2001. I LOVE my job.

I love being able to work with people and help them by getting to the root of a variety of musculoskeletal symptoms or sometimes just to relax! Through out the years I have taken a variety of continuing education credits focused on sports, pregnancy, neck and back pain, hot stone therapy, self care and more. I am registered with the Massage Therapy Association of Saskatchewan (M.T.A.S.) which has the highest standards of education and accountability in the province. It also allows for me to provide receipts for insurance purposes.

Desk workers often benefit from massage because it targets common tension areas like the shoulders, neck, and lower back. Hours of sitting can restrict circulation and lead to chronic stiffness, which massage helps release. It also boosts mental clarity, helping people stay productive and focused during the workday.

The science behind massage shows it activates the body’s parasympathetic system, which shifts the body from stress mode into recovery mode. It increases blood flow, lowers cortisol, and triggers endorphin release. These physiological effects explain why massage promotes both relaxation and healing. Being aware of stress and its effects is the first step toward managing it, and massage offers a natural solution. It lowers heart rate and blood pressure while easing physical tension caused by anxiety or overwork. Regular sessions help keep both mind and body in balance, reducing long-term health risks.

How often someone should get a massage depends on their needs, but once a month supports general wellness and stress relief. People dealing with injuries, high stress, or chronic pain may benefit from more frequent sessions, such as every one or two weeks. Staying consistent helps maintain muscle health and prevents issues from returning.
