The Bliss of the Breath

Mini workshop on Zoom

Breathwork, known as pranayama, is one of the 8 limbs of classical yoga practice. In learning to control our breath, we have the ability to settle our mind and create a sense of peace and contentment. As we slow down and become more present, we begin to develop insights and clarity to assist in managing our daily challenges and emotions. Pranayama creates positive benefits in our physiology including modulating our immune, nervous and hormonal systems. It aids in our healing and restoring balance and homeostasis to our body. Our breath is the connection between body and mind. It is truly inspiring to observe the impact a consistent breath practice can have on our lives. In these sessions we will begin with a short discussion of pranayama, followed by some simple breath practices, ending with a nourishing yoga nidra.

Monday January 22th and February 12th
8:00 - 9:30 pm
$15 for 1 session, $25 for both

Tomorrow's class falls on the auspicious summer solstice!

We are transitioning from the spring wood element to the summer fire. Each transition has an impact on the energy and wellbeing of our spiritmindbody. Our practices will focus on harmonizing the energies so we may shine bright without burning out.

This class is suitable for all bodies and levels of experience.

Wednesday evenings beginning June 14th

Yoga Nidra Classes on Zoom!

$70 for 7 classes (no class February 14th) or $13 for single session.

Yoga Nidra is a state of deep physical and mental relaxation with a strong element of awareness. It is a transformative practice that may release tension, promote mindfulness, enable sleep, enhance memory and learning, release unconscious patterns and awaken creativity.

We will begin with some simple breathing techniques and then prepare for Yoga Nidra . One simply lies or sits in a comfortable supported position and follows the verbal prompts.
