My grandmother passed away 9 months ago
She was my role model for aging. Not because she weight trained (although she did swim daily), or ate a very healthy diet (although she did become a fan of smoothies later in life).
Because she stayed mentally young.
She would always say “I’m like a big kid!” She would joke that her kids, who were 20+ years her junior, had less energy and more aches than she did.
I teach and coach health. Everyday. But I don’t teach it like anyone else I know. I don’t just look at food journals or work out plans. I look at your thoughts. I look at the beliefs you embody about yourself.
What are you subconsciously thinking everyday… I’m tired, I’m the worst sleeper, I hate this, my body isn’t what it used to be, I have the worst memory, it’s too hard now, I have no time, I can’t stay on track.
What you believe, you receive.
