This is to let our partners and friends of BDPO the passing of Late Donatus Lepasa, current Acting President - BDPO yesterday morning at Arawa Hospital.
A tribute by Vice President - BDPO to the family of Late Donatus Lepasa on behalf of all the Person's with Disability in AROB, the partners he worked with, friends and colleagues. Donatus was committed to his duty as acting president and had dreams for a bright future for BDPO. Regardless of his illness, he still made it to meetings, community related activities and in many instances, because of his good heart ❤, he still smiled in the midst of all his hidden pains, all because he loved his people.
Donatus will be sadly missed especially by many of us who have come to know him personally. He was full of fun, laughter and we will miss his sense of humour.
Thank you so much Donatus for your contribution especially your sacrifices, optimism and perseverance and the hope you continued to bestow upon the marginalized in Bougainville, thank you for the legacy you leave behind.
Brother Donatus, good bye from all of us.... God will bring you home safely where there is endless joy...shalom my brother, miss you ..till we meet again.
To the Lepasa family, be strong and may the legacy your papa leaves behind continue to strengthen and guide you. God bless you all and will be with you especially in this difficult time.
And to you my brother, GOOD BYE for the last time....SHALOM and may you Rest in Eternal Peace 😭😭😭😭😭

International Disability Day was celebrated on the 3rd December 2021, Arawa Independence Park, Central Bougainville. The Bougainville Disability Policy was also launched by Hon Thomson Gitovea, Minister for Community Development and Adrian Nessel representing AHC. Great Achievement for BDPO and ABG Department of Community Development.

Jacob Hururo a soil scientist displaying samples of different types of fertilisers he processed and sell to earn a living. Jacob is a person living with disability. He needs assistance to expand production, proper labeling and bottling. He was a participant in the disability policy consultation workshop in Siwai.
