I am looking at possibly doing a pop up a ONE DAY gluten free food event the last weekend in June or 1st weekend in July.
Haven't approached any vendors yet, and still to find venue but ...

Probably ticketed but they would be under £2.50 each with a charitable donation as well.

Wow 2 years ago on 7 April 2023 I created the Gluten free Huddersfield and surrounding areas group.
Thank you all so much for making it as good as it is. Better than my wildest dreams.
I never thought we would have
- a website, featuring over 100 places offering gf food in the area - all recommended by you www.glutenfreehuddersfield.info
- over 1300+ members, the majority active
- have held 3 gluten free Food events, with plans for more
- met some great people who I now call friends
- developed links with lots of small gf businesses to help them and us the gf community
- donated to Coeliac UK, MND, Andys Man Club Huddersfield, Sars Drone - Peak District, Guts UK, Breast Cancer Now
- fantastic moderators who support my wild ideas and rein me in when necessary!!!!
Here's to the next year. Enjoy, eat out, recommend, make friends.
This is, in my view, a happy gluten free community - long may it continue

A few details about the Gluten Free Food Event on 23 March 2025 that I thought you might find of interest.

We had 21 vendors, 2 outside, 19 inside - with both hot and cold food available.

We sold over 300 tickets, with an additional 50 children 10 and under who were FOC.

The funds, after paying for the room hire, have now paid to renew our Huddersfield website, as well as the one for the Yorkshire Coast plus Malvern & Worcester.

They also paid for the t shirts for all the helpers inside to you could spot us if you needed information. It also funded 4 hi viz vests for our amazing car park stewards and the child helpers.

The hot drinks for the premium tickets and the packs of gf biscuits for the interim tickets were also funded.

The tombola was run separately, in aid of Coeliac UK and MND, by the lovely Fiona, and raised £165 which was split equally between the 2 charities.

After all of that I have, today 3 April 2025, send a donation of £100 to AndysManClub and a one of £50 to K9-SAR thermal drone

Finally, thank you to everyone who supported the event, the team behind the scenes, the Ukrainian Club, the vendors and you the visitors - here's to the next one in October

There will be even more GF Hot Food at our Gluten Free Huddersfield Food Event on 23 March than in October.

Definitely there are:-

Craving Crust - pizzas and sides - based outside the venue
Hirds Family Fisheries - Giant Yorkshire Puddings, filled with steak, potatoes, peas and gravy. They will also be selling bottles of gf vinegar, curry sauce, gravy - in the buffet room
Nawaab Huddersfield - will be doing a variety of warm tasters from their menu.
Scarborough Creperie, with The Yorkshire Crumble Co - based in the kitchen

I am still awaiting confirmation and payment from a taco van which if they come will be outside next to Craving Crust
