At the end of a full week, I’m lingering on what the practice teaches us about moving through shifting states. Long exhales that soften the body after effort. The pause between breaths, where stillness holds possibility. Grief and growth. Nesting and creating. The work is not to hold onto one state, but to keep listening and breathing through them all.

Reminder: Our cracks don’t erase our purpose. The faultlines may be carved deep. But being undone or unsteady doesn’t disqualify us from walking alongside others. Often, it’s exactly this tenderness that lets us recognize one another.

Happy New Year! Maybe we’ll make some resolutions and keep them. But let’s also try to rest up, step outside occasionally, drop those shoulders, and say some nice things to ourselves too. Being a human is already hard enough as it is.

I’m expanding my offerings this year! I’ll be in studio on Mondays at 6pm at Lucky Cat for Vibrant Vinyasa. Wednesdays at 7:30pm and Fridays at 5pm at Yoga Loft for Soul Flow.
