Blossoming Tree Yoga - Carla Cooper Yoga Classes, Mini-retreats, 1:2:1's. Northants based. Carla Cooper - qualified yoga instructor. Hello, I’m Carla, a yoga teacher with over 30 years of practice.

My journey into yoga began as a personal exploration, and over time, it has evolved into a deep passion for sharing the practice as a tool for health and happiness. I completed a British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course in 2019, and a 300-hour Yoga Alliance Accredited Teacher Training in 2022. Since then I have continued to train adding certifications in pranayama, trauma-informed restorative yoga,

somatic movement, and yoga Nidra. My Hatha classes respect the origins of yoga, and offer an holistic approach to flexibility, relaxation and stress reduction. Through a combination of breathing, movement, and meditation, I aim to help students cultivate a more balanced mind, breath, spirit connection and release underlying tension and stress in the body and nervous system. Summer's here, and while regular routines might be taking a little holiday, your yoga practice doesn't have to! ✨

Starting week commencing 28.07.25, I'm offering a special 4-week summer series — perfect for anyone who finds it easier to dip into classes during this lighter, more spacious season.

Whether you're curious to try yoga for the first time or looking to stay connected in a more flexible way, this bite-size block is made for you. 🌼 No long-term commitment, just four weeks of mindful movement, deep breaths, and summer calm.

Come as you are, take what you need, and move with the rhythm of the season. 🌿💛

The crux of yoga is to still the fluctuations of the mind, and this isn't a one-time achievement - it's a continual lifelong practice.

So today I've supported this ongoing journey at Nagarjuna Kadampa Buddhist Centre silencing my inner critic.

A full day with my yoga friend Alex Lowry 🙏 where we shared a series of dharma talks, and meditations providing us with further tools to cultivate space and clarity within.

Yoga and Buddhism share ancient roots and both remind us that true freedom doesn't come from changing the external world but by transforming how we relate to our inner one. Thank you Kelsang Rigma for your wonderful teachings....🙏🙏🙏🙏

This was one of the asanas in tonight's class, which was all about spine health.

Yoga twists and spine mobility (cat, cow etc.) are brilliant for our overall health and vitality, and promote good posture....and....the best bit, you feel amazing 👏 after a class that focuses on spine mobility 🧘‍♀️✨️💕🙏

It’s all about nervous system prep.

One of the most important parts in delivering my half day retreats is getting myself into the same grounded, spacious energy I hope to offer others.

So, I regularly take time to rest and move through some of the restorative shapes I’ll guide others into.

It’s so much easier to create the right environment for others if I have taken time to feel supported.

I’ve always been curious about chronic inflammation—
especially knowing it’s behind so many autoimmune conditions.

And when I picked up a magazine recently, I wasn’t surprised to see that much of the advice is all about healing and stress reducing practices such as:

👉 Breathwork
👉 Yoga
👉 Meditation
👉 Sound healing/vibrations
👉 Rest and relaxation
👉 Low inflammation diet and a focus on gut health
And......laughing 😁 😂

What stood out most is that research backs what many of us have felt for years. Too much stress is bad for us, and spending time doing gentle, calming practices, like yoga, not only makes you feel better but can also reduce inflammation by soothing the nervous system.

If you’re living with an autoimmune condition (or just feel inflamed, wired, or worn out)…

This kind of practice can make a big difference.
