✨ The Floating Feather turned 3 yesterday ✨

Yesterday felt like a really special moment to pause and reflect.

Three years ago, on the 19th April, The Floating Feather Ltd was officially registered at Companies House… but the journey began long before that.

Around five years ago, I started to feel a quiet pull towards something different.

I had a highly responsible role that I had worked hard for — it was secure, well paid and something I was proud of. And yet, deep down, I knew I was being called in another direction.

What followed wasn’t an overnight change. It was a gradual unfolding … a process of listening, questioning and slowly moving towards something that felt more aligned.

I didn’t want a life that was just busy. I wanted something more meaningful. Something that created space for people to slow down, breathe and reconnect with themselves.

And that’s how The Floating Feather began to take shape.

Now, three years on, I feel nothing but gratitude 🤍

To everyone who has trusted me — through 1:1 sessions, groups, workplace wellness and community spaces — thank you 🫶🏻

This work truly lights me up. Helping people find calm in a busy world is something I’ll never take for granted.

I’m so grateful I get to do what I do and I'm so proud of what I have achieved so far.

Here I am .. in my favourite place ... in my aerial yoga hammock in my beautiful healing room.

I'm feeling so grateful right now reflecting on my fully booked Easter Weekend last week. Thank you to the beautiful souls who walked through my door and surrendered themselves to the peace and stillness. It was an absolute honour to welcome you in and to have you here for my FLOAT taster sessions.

I adore my job and am so passionate about what I do but without you all it would not be possible. Thank you for keeping my dream alive and for supporting my small business.

My next FLOAT taster day will be Sunday 26th April in my healing room in Glenmill, Darnley.

It’s a gentle invitation to pause, breathe and drift away from the noise of everyday life.

My proud moment after crossing the finish line and collecting my medal on Sunday.

What an experience, what a buzz!

I'm so grateful to all who were on the trip, 7 running and 3 supporting. It was an incredible weekend full of laughs, nonsense and creating memories that will stay with me forever.

A huge thank you for all the love, support, encouragement and very generous donations from everyone who believed I could do it.

With all your help, I've raised £1580 so far for Ayrshire Hospice.

International Women’s Day

💜💜💜

Today is a day to honour the strength, resilience, compassion and courage of women everywhere.

Women who nurture.
Women who lead.
Women who hold space for others while quietly carrying their own journeys.

Today feels especially meaningful for me, as I’m in Paris preparing to run the half marathon alongside seven incredible women who have inspired, supported, and encouraged me throughout this training journey. Every mile we run today is a reminder of the power of community, friendship and lifting one another up.

I’m also running in honour and memory of my Aunty Minnie, who's strength, courage and resilience never failed to amaze me.

Her words to me today would very much be;

"Put your big girl pants on and get on with it.” and I can very much hear them 💜

Today I’m celebrating strong women, supportive women, determined women… and the quiet strength that lives within all of us.

Here’s to showing up, supporting each other and remembering just how powerful we are — together.

Hello, March…

There’s something quietly magical about the first of March.

The flowers are beginning to pop up in little bursts of colour, the mornings and evenings lighter… and you can feel a wee shift in the air. Spring is stretching awake.

It feels like a season of renewal.
Of possibility.
Of coming back to life in our own time.

And today feels like a beautiful moment to pause and welcome it all in.

I’m so looking forward to welcoming ten beautiful ladies into the healing room for Float - my dreamy, floaty hammock sound bath experience. 💛

A day of gentle holding.
Of rest.
Of being cocooned and supported as the soothing sounds wash over and around them.

March feels like the perfect time to reset and realign.
To embrace the light returning — both outside and within.

If you’ve been feeling the call to rest, to soften, to simply be, perhaps this is your sign that your season is coming too.

Long overdue Paris Half Marathon training update ...

Well! The countdown is on! It's only now 2 weeks until I'll be taking part in the HOKA Semi de Paris race.

Let me start by saying how grateful I am thank for all the love, support and GENEROUS donations. So far I've raised an incredible £652 for Ayrshire Hospice in memory of my beautiful Aunty Minnie McNaught and 🤍 it's an incredible amount to go to such a wonderful charity.

The training has certainly been a journey. The last 3 weeks throwing some challenges in my path, an old injury making an appearance, an eye infection and 2 days of lurgy symptoms luckily not coming to anything. I knew the best option for me was to rest, rest, rest but the mental arguments I had whilst resting were unreal and the the panic set in.

However today with 2 weeks to go, I have completed my longest run - 20km. I cannot believe I achieved this. It's now restored my faith in myself and I'm feeling confident that I'll have the capability to complete the race in the time given.

The next 14 days will be all about keeping my movement going in a gentle way and preparing myself mind, body and spirit for the big day.

It's exciting to think that at this exact moment, two weeks from now me and my wonderful running buddies and my amazing hubby will be on a boat, cruising on the river Seine sipping on some fizz and eating a well deserved meal.
