Fever (Enteric Fever) #
Typhoid is is characterized by G.I.T symptoms and headache.
Typhoid Fever is caused by salmonella typhi while a similar but less sever ilness knows as paratyphoid is due to infection with salmonella paratyphoid A.B or C.

Orofaecal rout, through contaminated food, milk or water, house flies are important vector of infections.

1) (1 week)
* Headache, body ache,Malaise,sore throat and anorexia.
*Tongue is coated *constipation*step ladder fever low on morning increase in night (103 f to 104 f)
*Cough and bradycardia.
2) (2nd week)
* High temperature
* Enlargement of spleen
* Diarrehea instead of constipation
* Rashes on skin( chest and abdomen)
3) (3rd week)
* Gradual fall of temperature
*Intestinal hemorrhage and patient may pass into coma and die.
4) (4th week)
* Return of appetite
*Tongue clear, pulse become faster.

*Arthritis. *Meningitis. * Myocarditis. *pneumonia. * Nephritis.

TLC (WBC count) is decreased
*Blood culture is positive in 80%of patient I first week
Stool culture positives from 2nd week bone marrow culture may be positive when blood culture is negative.
*Widal test.
:Rest and Good and soft diet.
*Analgesic and antipyretic for pain and fever.
*Ciprofloxacin in 500- 750 BD or levofloxacin BD for 10-15 days.
*Other drugs.
*Amoxicillin
* Cotrimoxazole(septran DS) BD.
*Cefrixime OD,Cefrixome (inj. Rocepbin 1g).

*Vaccination of hours hold contact of a typhoid carrier.

Hemorrhoid are swollen,enlarged veins that form inside and outside the a**s and re**um.The can be painful,uncomfortable and cause re**al bleeding.Hemorrhoid are also called piles.
Factor.
1)Overweight or obesity
2)Are pregnant
3)Eat a low Fiber diet.
4)Have chronic constipation and Diarrhea.

6)Spend a lot of time sitting on the toilet.
