October is also a month to recommit our country’s focus on empowering AND employing people with disabilities.
Increasing the percentage of disabled personnel greatly benefits employers and employees alike. We can all appreciate the opportunity to work when we are able but if we are having difficulties with our abilities it it is important for companies to invest in those who are still capable despite it all

Have you ever heard of dysautonomia or have you had symptoms for a long period of time without a proper diagnosis ?
The Autonomic nervous system is controls the body’s a constant internal temperature, breathing patterns, blood pressure steady, and the heart rate. These parts of the body cannot be controlled by you. This when the ANS is dysregulated, it is hard to manage.
There are different types of dysautonomia, each of which has various symptoms. The symptoms can come and go, making them difficult to predict.
Our infographic covers a few common symptoms and conditions associated with the ANS. If you believe you are having chronic symptoms see your primary care provider or specialist to learn more

Did you know the recommended age to start a self breast exam is at the age of 20?
Also note it is important for women to be aware of how their breasts normally look and feel and to report any changes to a health care provider right away.
Self performed breast exams do not replace provider care. Ensure that you have examinations completed by a medical professional

We know how devastating a diagnosis can be and we also want to share ways to detect or prevent early on!

The primary goal of Breast Cancer Awareness month is to educate people about breast cancer, including risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early detection through regular breast self-exams, clinical breast exams, and mammography. We will share as much as we can this month! 🎀

The first week in October is nationally recognized as Mental Health Awareness Week. It is a dedicated time for mental health advocates to bring forth awareness, support and resources. It is also an important time for people who are facing challenges with their mental health to know that their is robust support around the country right now and to lean in to that
All week this week we will raise awareness, share date and of course uplift our chronic community 💜
